Marvelous Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: May 10, 2010
o my gosh. we go to a five star eating establishment in Visalia, Ca and they serve a similar mushroom with Cognac sauce in puff pastry as an appetizer. This recipe is so good. Used parsley from our garden. My ten year old grew it for me. I made the recipe just as printed. I served with cresent rolls ( dreaming of puff pastry appetizer). dip rolls in leftover sauce. WOW! This is such a keeper. Serve for guests..their tastebuds will go wild...even if they don't like mushrooms!

I made the night before with all ingredients EXCEPT the eggs. whisked eggs and added them on top in morning and baked for 50 min. came out great and so tasty!

Before I put it back in crock pot with sauce, I pulled off all fat. Made a big difference. thanks for the tip to buy a little bottle of bourbon. only 1.50 at liquor store.
