This is perfect chili! I made it as written as much as possible. I didn't know how hot it would be so I used Aneheim peppers and cut back on the cayenne, black pepper and Tabasco. I didn't drain the chili beans and I used Ranch Style beans in place of the chili beans in spicy sauce. I left out the beer. I used smoked paprika. The result was fabulous! It might have been a little thicker if I had drained the chili beans, but it wasn't too thin either! I cooked the meat, drained it and added it to a crock pot with all the other ingredients to cook for 6 hours on high. Even though this recipe has a lot of ingredients, it's easy to make.
