About this Cook
Hey ya'll! I'm 15 yr old girl from the south that likes cooking, and is obsessed with dancing and music. I'm not very good at cooking yet, but I'm getting better...I just gotta practice more:) I've also been taking piano for 9 years and dancing ballet and ballroom for about 1. I'm working my way up to concert pianist level, which takes a lot of practice. In whatever free time I have left I like to read classic literature, and play soccer with friends. Oh, and I also have a twin sister who got me into cooking. So that pretty much covers it:):):):)
My favorite things to cook
I love Cuban and Spanish food because it reminds me of my family and great memories. I also love cooking classic southern comfort food. It's just a part of who I am.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every once and a while, my dad will invite a bunch of people over and make one of his famous dishes (white lasagna, Chinese rice, or ox tail), and then we'll watch a movie after. Only bad thing is that after a while people start getting used to it;)
My cooking triumphs
too few to mention.
My cooking tragedies
too many to mention.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup
Very good. The potatoes absorbed the liquid, so I had to add a little more milk, and since I ran out of milk, I used evaporated milk and it still came out tasty. Perfect for a cold winter night.

Divine Milk
Ok, this sounded pretty weird to me, so I had to try it!! I have to say... it's not really that sweet, but still surprisingly good. I added a little more soda than milk so it was more fizzy than creamy. Really does taste kind of like a float, only not as overpowering. Very interesting recipe:)
