Italian Pasta Salad II

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2011
When I made it I thought I might have ruined a whole bowl of good food because of the dressing, which smelled way too vinegar-y to me. But after chilling in the fridge a few hours that totally dissipated and the finished product was great.

Different Chicken Divan

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2011
I really like this recipe. It is rich, delicious, and definitely has kick!!! We serve over rice--I would never serve it alone. It's a great way to introduce your kids to new flavors, if they're not used to curry or the spiciness of cayenne. We scale it down a bit because we don't need 10 servings, but I still use almost a pound of chicken and a head of broccoli, cut up and steamed beforehand. The mayo I just about halve and I only use the cream of chicken soup(1 can). I use 1/2tsp curry, a rounded 1/4tsp of cayenne and a little less than 1/2tsp of garlic salt. Comes out great:)

Cherry Crisp

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2011
This was very good, though I thought the nutmeg flavor was a tad too strong....I'd use maybe 1/2 or 1/3 a tsp. nest time. I made extra granola/flour/sugar mixture and pressed about half of it onto the bottom of the greased pan and then poured on the cherries and finished with the rest of the mixture and the pecans. I took another reviewer's advice and ate it with some vanilla ice cream--I definitely second that recommendation!!

That Good Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2011
An excellent salad that goes with any dinner....the dressing is so simple but so very tasty and it's got the right amount of everything in it, in my opinion. I think the dressing benefits from a few hours of "melding" in the fridge before it's served.

Shrimp Linguine

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2010
Wow, was this good. I kept a lemon on the table for us to squeeze on top of the pasta for some extra flavor. But I made it exactly according to the directions. The sauce seemed runny in the pan before I added the pasta and parmesan, but it all incorporated into the perfect consistency.

Ooey Gooey Breakfast Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2010
Very easy to make and really good! I used an 8 or 9 inch round pan, non-stick. I don't have a bundt pan! OH, and I accidentally used instant butterscotch pudding, but it did not seem to make any difference in the final product!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

5 stars for ease of preparation and great flavor! The shredding was so easy--I hadn't done this before and thought that part would be tricky, but it shredded apart effortlessly and I had it back in the crockpot in less than a minute!

Ham 'n' Noodle Hot Dish

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2009
good and simple. I made homemade bread crumbs by cutting up cubes of bread, toasting them in the oven, spraying with oil, tossing them with parsley, marjoram, and thyme and parmesan and baking again for a few minutes...this added some needed flavor to the dish....made it more savory.

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2009
I used a pound of turkey and just eyeballed all the rest of the ingredient amounts....they turned out fabulous! I did use one whole egg and subbed onion powder for the minced onion and I added worchestershire. I lightly floured both sides of the burger which helped it form into a patty a little better, making it much less sticky.

B and L's Strawberry Smoothie

all that sugar seemed extreme--especially since I'll down the whole batch myself every time! Second time I made it I used French vanilla flavored yogurt and was able to omit ALL the sugar AND the vanilla extract and it tasted great.

Bermuda Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2009
This is one of the best salads I've ever had! (didn't use mushrooms) Only used one big bag of spinach and modified some of the other ingredient measurements, and ended up using half the dressing, but it came out excellent! The dressing is wonderful.

Macaroni 'n' Cheese for Two

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2008
This was so surprisingly good!! I added ground powdered mustard, and the overall flavor was so rich and delightful! Mine only baked for about 18 minutes, and so my onions were still a little crunchy, but I like onions so I didn't mind:) I love this as a change from the butter-flour-milk kind of homemade mac n cheese.

Broccoli, Rice, Cheese, and Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
I really love this dish--it's one of my go-to weekday dinners, and I always split the casserole between two 9x9 baking dishes and freeze one, so we get two meals out of it. I use different cheese mixtures every time, and it always turns out great. I've used fresh and frozen broccoli, and both work well, I always use "real" cut up, seasoned and cooked chicken breast, and I always use brown rice for some extra nourishment. It tastes delicious!!!

Peanut Butter Pudding

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2008
This came out tasting perfect....just like a peanut butter filling you'd have in a pie or something. THe only issue I had with mine was that my milk mixture burned to the bottom of the pan and so I ended up with some little pieces of burned milk in my pudding, but it still tasted great! I would just advise to watch that pan carefully:)

Blackened Salmon Fillets

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2008
I don't know why, but I ended up with way more seasoning than I needed....I only used half of it, if even that. These tasted good, but they were a little too spicy for my 5 and 2 year olds.
