Sour Cream Chocolate Chip Cake I

very nice cake. I did not have quite enough sour cream, only about 2/3 cup. I used 1/2 cup of vanilla Greek yogurt because that is all I had. It took all of 45-50 minutes to bake, although I turned it down after 40 minutes to 325 because it was getting too brown on top. I sprinkled powered sugar on top. Just finished a piece and it was delightful - fluffy, moist and not too sweet.

Very very good and past my kids' taste test. I forgot about the directions not to double the recipe and did so, and they baked up just fine. A keeper!

Baked Ziti I

I started with olive oil and garlic, added onions and seasoned with crushed red pepper and oregano. Then I added ground beef, browned and finally added tomatoes (crushed tomatoes, not sauce). Tasty sauce that was a good starter. Used ricotta but added 1/4 cup of sour cream. No provolone. Even better on day two

Cornbread Muffins II

I started making this recipe and realized I did not have enough cornmeal. I was pressed for time and used what I had...believe it or not...instant grits. I used 1/2 cup sugar because my guys like a sweeter muffin. I also used regular milk soured with a bit of vinegar. Not sure they resembled the original recipe at all, but they were really gooD!

Thumbprint Cookies I

yum..yum..yum...just out of the oven and hubby has eaten 4 so far. I used nuts on only half the cookies, as my kids won't eat them with nuts. I kept some plain and rolled others in sugar. All were good, just depends on taste. I used raspberry jam, will experiment with this one. Very skimpy recipe, double or quadruple as others have suggested

Hershey's® White Chocolate Cinnamon Scones

These were wonderful! I made them for my husband because he loves the cinnamon scones at the bakery and he liked these better. I too could not find any cinnamon chips so I used Toffee pieces. I also used white chocolate chips because the market was out of Hugs. I added a TBL of cinnamon. Next time, I would make eight scones, as they were very big, and I would omit the drizzling on top...just because my husband prefers them that way.

Easy Chocolate Chip Pound Cake

Very good and easy cake..thanks t's mom! I cut the oil to 1/2 cup, and the cake was still very moist and light. Also, I just happened to find white chocolate pudding mix at the grocer, and tried that...it was delish! Hard to believe this is not a total "from scratch" cake...I'll never tell!

Hershey's ® 'Perfectly Chocolate' Chocolate Cake

I was so glad to see there were a few others that had problems with this recipes. My husband (an experienced baker) made this last week, and it was a DISASTER! It overflowed the two pans, and the consistency was spongy and altho the taste was ok, it was nothing to write home about. We tried it once again (due to the all the great reviews, we figured we did something wrong) and the same thing happened...a real mess!
