Deep Dark Old Recipe Bran Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2013
A delicious recipe that is easy to customize to your liking! Here are the changes I made: subbed coconut oil for vegetable shortening subbed crushed bran cereal for bran (couldn't track any down!) subbed dried, sweetened cherries for raisins added roughly chopped walnuts baked in two small loaves instead of muffins These freeze and reheat well, they are delicious and even though they are healthy they taste decadent!

Peanut Butter Popcorn

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2010
I made a double batch of this for a girls movie night and 8 of us finished all of it! It was a huge hit. Everyone commented that it had a nice subtle peanut butter flavor and was perfectly sweet. Following other reviewers advice I baked it in the oven on a foil lined cookie sheet at 300 for 25 minutes to get it nice and crunchy. I also used real butter instead of margarine, just because it is my personal preference. Definitely recommended! Thank you for such a delicious recipe.

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2010
This recipe was easy, has few ingredients, and is delicious! I came home to the most wonderful smell. I used KC Masterpiece Hickory Brown Sugar sauce and it was great! We served it on wheat buns with coleslaw and curly fries, but it was great without the bun as well!

Super-Delicious Zuppa Toscana

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2008
We love this! This is the second time I am making this for my husband and I- I couldn't get enough of it! We made a few changes- 4-5 small potatoes instead of 6, and we used Tofurkey Italian-Style "Sausage" instead of regular sausage, and kale instead of spinach. It is wonderful, reheats well time and again and is delicious. Thanks for our new favorite soup!

Not only did these make my house smell terrible, they were crunchy on the outside and like mush on the inside.

Baked Asparagus with Balsamic Butter Sauce

I reversed the balsamic and soy sauce amounts like everyone suggested and found it to be very salty and sour.Asparagus is much better with just salt and pepper!

Cajun Style Baked Sweet Potato

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2006
If I could give this more than a 5 I would! We loved it! A great way to get in your sweet potatoes without the same boring casserole or just eating them with butter. I cut them into fry sized slices and baked them only 35 minutes. THANKS FOR THE AMAZING RECIPE!!!

Zucchini Boats on the Grill

Reviewed: May 19, 2006
We threw all of these out. What a waste of perfectly good vegetables. It tastes very mushy and the only flavor came from the spicy peppers. I love zucchini, but this was just disgusting.

This was terrible. It called for way too much onion. I made two batches, one with meat and one without and both were terrible. Don't waste your time.

Potato Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2006
This recipe calls for far too much pepper. Between the steak seasoning and the pepper, this ended up tasting like pepper soup! Next time i'll omit the extra pepper, so I can actually taste the other ingredients

Artichoke Bruschetta

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2006
This recipes calls for a ridiculous amount of mayo. I took others advice and cut it down to 3tbl, but that was still far too much. We threw it out, it tasted just like mayo. If I make this again, I would use 1-1.5 tbl of mayo only.

Butter Bean Burgers

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2006
I wish I could give this recipe a zero! I don't know why it got such rave reviews. As soon as I went to fry them, the first 2 fell apart completely in the oil. The second 2 that stayed together took 15 minutes to cook, and when eaten were crunchy on the outside and a mushy rice pudding consistancy on the inside. I was dissapointed and disgusted. If you like something that just tastes like fried and nothing else, go for it.
