Chicken Wild Rice Soup I

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2014
As I was getting ready to make this today for the umpteenth time, it occurred to me that I have never left a rating!! I make this decadent delight once a year, after Thanksgiving, with my leftover turkey. It's my favorite use for leftover turkey! So delish! The mustard & curry powders are key ingredients. The flavors they impart make this taste so gourmet! The crunch of the almonds take this over the top! I may love this more than Thanksgiving dinner itself!! Thanks Sue!!

Light Wheat Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2014
I hate when people make changes before rating a recipe! That being said, I cut the amount of sugar in half (diabetic husband) & let the bread machine do most of the work. I followed the rest of the directions to the letter. These rolls were fantastic!! Light & airy, two words not usually associated with whole wheat backed goods! I plan to make these often & will do a little experimenting to try to cut down on the amount of all purpose flour while still keeping the fantastic crumb. Thanks for the recipe!!

Easy Morning Glory Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
Delicious muffins! I made a few slight changes. I was out of coconut but will definitely add it next time. I used 1/2c pumpkin & 1/2c applesauce instead of the oil. Added a few dried cranberries. Put the carrots & apples in the food processor. Healthy & full of flavor! I got 18 good sized muffins from this recipe.

Sukhothai Pad Thai

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2011
I am very picky about my pad thai, so was hesitant to try this recipe. Only made a few changes. Could not find the dried radish, so left that out. Could only find tamarind paste, so used that. Used half lime juice, half rice vinegar. Used fish sauce & only added soy to taste. Cut down the sugar by a 3rd. Really enjoyed this! Better than most Thai restaurants! Will make this often!

Smoked Sausage and Zucchini Saute

I go to this recipe when I'm short on time. So quick & easy. I used a can of diced tomatoes & minced onion instead of dried. Sometimes I add yellow squash & serve with polenta.

Asian Ground Beef and Pepper Saute

Reviewed: May 27, 2011
Great flavor, just a little too hot for my taste. Hubby LOVED this!! Was better as leftovers mixed with the rice. Next time will cut back a little on the red pepper flakes.

Great flavor. Only problem was the burgers were quite dry. Will try the broth next time. Enjoyed them on multigrain sandwich rounds with baby spinach.

Pretzel Turtles

I can't stop making these!!!!!!!! So easy & so good! I have used regular pretzels, butter pretzels, Dove caramels & cheap wal-mart caramel cups, all with great results. I like to sprinkle a small amount of coarse sea salt over the top while still warm because I love salted caramels. You can't go wrong!

Mr. Kirk's Won Tons

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2010
These are amazing! My hubby & I made these together & had a lot of fun! They are time consuming, but recipe makes a lot of wontons. We had some trouble with folding which, thankfully, doesn't affect the taste! With only the two of us eating, we froze quite a few. They freeze & re-heat quite well. Can't imagine eating store bought ones anymore!
