About this Cook
My name is Kristina. I am 20 years old and a Junior at Fayetteville State University in Fayetville, NC (and also the town I live). I am going to school for my biology and chemistry degrees. I want to be an orthopaedic surgeon. I have been happily married for 2 1/2 years to Ryan. He is in the Army stationed at Fort Bragg, NC. He is on the US Army Parachute Team, the Golden Knights. My family lives in Indiana and Illinois and I am originally from Munster, IN. I love to cook and use Allrecipes.com all the time. I love Martha Stewart, Rachael Ray, Food Network, and cookbooks.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake, so I make cakes, bars, pies, you name it I bake it. I like to cook new thing. I get bored of the same old food.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My Mother is Croatian and her Mom taught her how to make many Croatian foods such as stuffed cabbage, sauerkraut and sausage, canned peppers and I make the pieroges, nutroll, diamond cookies.
My cooking triumphs
I know how to make nutroll the best around. Since there are no European stores around, I taught myself to make the best pieroges, strudel, and many other foods.
My cooking tragedies
Sometimes I will try a recipe and don't have one item, and then it all goes bad while I try to accomidate for that missing item, or while I add another item.

Thirty Minute Meal
I make this all the time but to make it more filling, I add 1 cup of rice and another can of tomato soup and let it simmer for 30 minutes.
