Garlic Herb Grilled Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2014
This recipe is very tasty! Tastes like something you would get in a fine restaurant! And very easy! I cut back the Olive Oil to 2 Tbsp to cut back on calories. I marinated it for a couple of hours, then baked it in the oven at 400 for 35-40 minutes. Will definitely make again!

Zippy and Tangy Turkey Rice Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2013
The spices in this recipe create such an amazing flavor...I didn't have a carcass, but just put all of our leftover turkey in a pot with the bay leaves, onions, and celery leaves and simmered for an hour. Then followed the rest of it. Oh and I used wild rice instead of long grain rice. You should try it! So so good!!!

I followed this recipe to a T and it was a hit! Next time I may add a little more of the Chinese 5 spice...it really adds a depth of flavor. You will not go wrong with this recipe!

High Temperature Eye-of-Round Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2013
I was so excited to try this recipe. I followed instructions exactly as stated. The meat was beautiful, and had a good flavor, but it was so tough! You just keep chewing and chewing....crazy! Maybe I'd try it again but with tweaks. I didn't throw it away...threw it in a crockpot with Mexican seasonings and had a nice Mexican shredded beef at the end of the day.

Carol's Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2013
Had this tonight for dinner! Yum! I doubled the spices as a lot of people suggested. I put in 1 teaspoon of the crushed red pepper cuz we like it hot! I added a can of petite diced tomatoes and 8 oz of fresh mushrooms. Great "warming meal" without being too heavy. You will like it!

Grilled Italian Pork Chops

Amazing! The only thing I did differently was to use proscuitto instead of ham, since it's an Italian dish! Will absolutely make again!

Spinach and Feta Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2013
These were very good but it seemed like there was a spice or two missing. Followed the recipe exactly but did not eat it with the Tzatziki sauce. Cooked on the grill. I did refrigerate the meat prior to cooking since they are a little soft.

Sombrero Chicken

Reviewed: May 5, 2013
This was the best! Oh my gosh! I have to share that I had to cook it in the oven, because we just moved and no pans yet! lol! I cooked the bacon in the morning and did not use any bacon drippings...you don't need it! So I took a 9 x 13 casserole dish...put the bacon on the bottom, layered with green pepper and onion, and half of the cilantro. I seasoned the chicken (chicken thighs, cheaper than breasts) as instructed, then just put it on top of everything else. When the chicken was almost done, I threw on a can of diced tomatoes, and let it cook a little longer. I started the oven at 375, then jumped it up to 400 degrees. I don't remember the total time...just checked until the chicken looked done. One other thing I did was I made my own fajita seasoning....easy and tasty. Then we just put the cheese and the rest of the cilantro on our fajitas as we assembled them. I think the cilantro is the key to this. You will love it!

Fusion Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2013
This is really good if you want a change from regular chili. I used molasses instead of honey (none in the house) and didn't include the sausage (used ground chicken and sirloin). It's a bit sweet for me but all of the flavors did blend well.

Scrumptious Salisbury Steak in Mushroom Gravy

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2010
This was a really good recipe. I added garlic to both the meat and the gravy since we are garlic lovers. Also added splashes of worc. sauce and red wine to the gravy. It just seemed like the meat was missing something...an herb or something. Maybe next time I will add rubbed sage, or thyme, or parsley. Or all three. Great recipe tho. Will definitely be making this again. Served it with homemade mashed red potatoes.

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2010
This was very tasty. I liked the idea of using the crockpot to free up oven space. I used the very dry (plain) breadcrumbs from the store, and 2 cups of broth. I cooked it for 4 hours on low and it seemed soggy. So I took the lid off for about 1/2 hour and evaporated some of the liquid. Great flavor from the different seasonings. I would definitely make again.

The Twenty Dollar Burger

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2010
These were just ok. I was so excited after all the great reviews but they were very mushy. The only change I made was to substitute sour cream for the yogurt like others had done. The flavor was good but just too mushy. Sorry!

Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2010
Excellent marinade! I had to make a few adjustments to what I had in the house. I didn't have any sherry but used red wine vinegar instead. And I only had 1/2 cup of soy sauce so I added a 1/2 cup of teriyaki sauce. I marinated the breasts while they were thawing for about 6 hours. It's a keeper!

Dee's Roast Pork for Tacos

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2010
This had an excellent flavor but the meat did not fall apart. I think it's because I used a pork sirloin roast which is a leaner cut. I cooked it for the full 4 hours. So I just cut it into pieces with a knife and fork. Next time I'll have to use a fattier roast. But the seasonings are awesome and could be used with chicken as well.
