Drop Biscuits and Gravy

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2009
Excellent and easy recipe! I had never made this before, now it's regular breakfast here. I don't usually have sausage on hand, so I use ground venison and add a piece of chopped bacon if I have it. Also a nice variation on biscuits is to add a cup of shredded cheese and a couple cloves of chopped garlic. I have made the biscuits with 1/2 whole wheat flour also and they came out nice.

Pumpkin Protein Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2007
I’ve made these a couple of times. I find the splenda a little overpowering, so used 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup splenda. Also I added about 1/4 cup more pumpkin to make it easier to mix. They are pretty good. I’ve also tried them with chocolate chips and chopped nuts and liked them even better.

Low-Fat Blueberry Bran Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2006
I thought these were pretty good. I did cut back the sugar since my berries were very sweet. They had good flavor and texture - almost a little crunchy. Will make again.

So easy! Chicken came out perfect, tender, moist. The only way I'll ever cook a whole chicken again.

Apple, Cranberry, and Pear Crisp

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2006
I just happened to have an excess of apples, pears, and cranberries on hand when I found this recipe. It was awesome! My pears were very sweet, so I didn't add much sugar and it was plenty sweet enough. Also used maple syrup instead of honey (personal preference). Also extra oatmeal and applesauce instead of some of the butter. The flavor was great - will definitely be making again!

First pie I ever made and it was awesome! I used 1/2 cup of sugar and 4 Tbs of cornstarch. Made "Pie Crust III" from this site to go with it.

Taco Seasoning I

Much better than store bought taco mix (which I usually find too salty). I use this amount for about 1.5 lbs of meat. Goes well with game meat.

Husband likes! Quick and easy too. Last time I didn't have any horseradish, so I added some crushed red pepper instead to give it some kick. Thanks!

Quick, easy, and delicious! It's very rich, so comes out just as good with light substitutes.

Rhubarb Stir Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2006
Pretty good. I followed the recipe closely, but used cinnamon and only a little sugar on top. I also had to bake it about 10 minutes longer. It was very moist, better texture and flavor the next day. Good rhubarb flavor and not too sweet. Good way to use up lots of rhubarb! Thanks!

Excellent quick and easy soup! I used bulger wheat instead of couscous because that's all I had. Also added a little red wine when sauteing. Love the cumin flavor.

My new favorite meatloaf recipe! Only thing I did different was use oatmeal instead of bread crumbs, and cooked it a little longer. Flavor and texture were great. Thanks!

These are awesome muffins! Great flavor and texture. Recipe is also on the back of Bobs Red Mill ground flax seed. I like to use cranberries instead of raisins. Don't need the oil either. They freeze well also.

Pineapple Chicken Delight

I thoght this was very good. The potatoes, pepper, and pineapple all went together really well. I wouldn't change a thing except maybe experimenting with different bbq sauces. I used regular flavor- thought it was a bit sweet, but overall liked it and it was soooo easy to fix. Thanks!
