Lemon Chicken Strips

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2010
I like the flavor of the recipe but made a few changes. I mixed the sauce with 1/4 cup sugar, 1/2 Lemon juice, and the 1 teaspoon Curry power and then brought to a boil. I thickened the sauce with some corn starch and served it on the side. The next time I wouldn't bother with the dreading and I would just pan sear the chicken breast with a little lemon pepper seasoning and olive oil. Served it with Long grain brown rice and it was tasty.

Johnsonville Italian Sausage Sliders

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2012
These were really good. I ended up doing a one to one ratio of Italian Sausage and beef since we cut back the number of servings. We cooked them on the grill and served them on King Hawaiian rolls. Yummy. We will make them again.

Shoyu Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
This was wonderful. I baked it in a 400 degree oven for about 30-35 minutes since it was too cold to grill outside. Next time I would use Chicken breasts. I will be making this again and again its my new favorite chicken recipe.

Beef Barley Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2008
This is the best Barley Lentil soup I have had. I did use stew meat instead of ground beef but other then that I mad as directed. I will defiantly make this again. Thanks for the great recipe.

Grilled Gyro Burgers

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2011
This was pretty good. Next time I would just brown the meat into crumbles so that its easier to stuff in the pita without ripping it.

Banana Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
I was skeptical about this recipe since I have tried so many Banana Bread recipes and more often then not they are terrible. However, I was wrong. This one was fantastic. I did make a few minor changes: 1) Used 1/3 cup brown sugar and 1/3 cup white sugar 2) Added 1 tbsp of Vanilla, 1 tsp Cinnamon, and 1/2 tsp Nutmeg to the mashed bananas 3) Stirred in Currents that I had on hand I will definitely make this recipe again.

Cheesy Potato Bread

Reviewed: May 8, 2011
This was so good. Its pretty easy to make and I followed the directions to the T except to bake in a loaf pan. The second time I made it I turned down the heat on my oven to 375 as the 400 got a little to crispy for my taste.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
These deserve a 10 star rating. These were the best brownies I have ever made. They turned out moist and chewy. I followed the directions as written using Gheridelli Cocoa powder except that I didn't make the icing since I don't care for it on Brownies. I will make these again in the future. The best part is that they were so easy my 4 year old was able to help me make them. No more store bought brownies for me.

Hamburger Buns

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2010
These were very good. I scaled back the recipe to make 8 and brushed the tops with olive oil and sesame seeds before baking. The only thing I did different was used dried active yeast which meant I let the do rise in a warm oven for 30 minutes before shaping into 8 buns. I let them rise for another 15 minutes in a warm oven before baking. I will definitely make these again.

Grandma Maggio's Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2010
Wow! This sauce was amazing. My hubby and daughter gobbled it up served over spaghetti with some Parmesan cheese. I did not use the mushrooms because I don't care for them but followed the directions as written. I used a white Merlot wine.

Slow Cooker Scalloped Potatoes with Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
This was a very good recipe. I did have to make some changes because I realized while I was putting it together I did not have an onion or Cream of Mushroom soup. Instead I used Cream of Chicken and a packet of Onion Soup mix seasoning. I also used Red Potatoes and left the skin on. I added milk instead of Water as mentioned in many other reviews. My two year old loved this. I will make it again.

Sean's Falafel and Cucumber Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2011
These were pretty good. I baked them as other suggested, but next time I would make sure to use foil on the baking sheet since they got a little stuck. The only problem I had was that the baking powder gave it a weird after taste, but maybe I didn't add it correctly. I also used a food processor to mash the chickpeas because my masher doesn't work very well.

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
I made this tonight for dinner and it was wonderful. The only change I made was to use 1 cup of Whole Wheat Bread Flour and 1 cup All-purpose flour. I mixed everything in the stand mixer and baked the crust for about 10 minutes at around 400 degrees before I added the sauce and toppings. I will make the many more times. Thanks for sharing.

Scones

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2010
Wow! These were great. No need to buy expensive ones from the coffee shop any more. The they were moist an flavorful. I mixed the egg and milk in a measuring cup (egg whisked) then added only a little at a time. I used about half of the egg milk mix. I mixed in Raisins and Cinnamon before cutting. I will make again with a variety of other ingredients.

Philly Cheesesteak Casserole

Oh this was wonderful! It was quick and easy to make. I did use a red and green pepper and didn't use the oil. I replaced the beef with lean ground turkey. My 3 year old ate seconds!

Easy White Chili

This is a good recipe but the consistency is more like a soup then chili. Next time I won't use as much liquid. It had a great flavor though.

Mediterranean Stuffed Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2007
I liked this chicken recipe. But when I make it again I will add more stuff to the stuffing like roasted red peppers or spinach. Also, I will cook it on the stove top or grill instead of baking (Personal Preference).

Baked Apples

So Yummy.... This will make a great replacement for apple pie. However, a full apple was a little to much for me so I cut it in half and shared it with a friend.
