Bread Pudding with Whiskey Sauce III

Reviewed: May 20, 2006
Great Recipe! I did scale back the serving to half which made a 9x13 pan. I also cut back on the whiskey (way to much whiskey)and I added more cinnamon and nutmeg. I also added chopped pecans to my rum sauce. Next time I will add some drained, crushed pineapple to the bread. It does take longer than an hour to cook though. Thanks for the wonderful recipe and making me look like a pro chef! I will definitely make this again! ps. I forgot to add that cooking this in a hot bath (a pan with hot water) will cook faster and more even. You will not be left with the gooey parts in spots.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2005
This was absolutely wonderful. My family gave this 5 stars. This is a recipe that I will definitely be making again. The only thing different I did was use the whole pkg of cream cheese, add a little cayenne pepper, and crumbled some bacon on top. Delicious on some fresh parmesan french bread! Thanks for sharing.

Cola Pot Roast II

Reviewed: May 27, 2005
I hate to give this even one star. It was awful. My husband took 2 bites and asked what the heck I did to the gravy that it is nasty. Just the cream of mushroom soup and lipton onion soup mix in a crock pot makes a wonderful gravy without that cola.I do not understand how this has a 5 star rating. Not the way the south makes gravy. I will NOT make this again. Sorry.

White Bean Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2005
My husband and child gave this 4 stars. My son had 3 bowls. It was very tasty but too runny. I pureed one can of beans but still to runny. It was more like a soup. It also was not spicy enough for us. I will make this again though. Thanks for sharing.

Dirt Cake I

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2005
This was so cute and yummy! We added gummy spiders in our pot. Too CUTE! My kids got a big kick out of it. We will be making again With the butter I do not think the butter needs to be mixed with the cream cheese and sugar. Instead Reserve enough cookies in another bowl enough to be the dirt on top. With the remaining cookies add 1 stick of melted butter to it and stir. This way it is moist and the dirt on top is dry. Ps. My son just entered this in a cooking contest and won 1st place. Once again too cute and very yummy!

Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2005
These are awesome! My husband and son loved them. They are only good once they come out of the oven hot & fresh. Thanks for sharing. Will definitely be making again. The only complaint is...It does need more cheese and definitely use the SHARP cheddar cheese.

Bou's Chicken

I thought I was going to have this fantastic chicken according to the reviews but I was very disappointed. It was not that great and I had to add more spice to give it somekind of kick. With the kick the hubby loved it. Definitely needed the tobasco that I added. I will make again.

Love the sauce! It's better as a marinade. It's much better marinated couple hours or over night. Love it. It will be a keeper. Thanks!

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2004
I really must of done something wrong. I added cinnamon, vanilla and and a cup instead of 3/4 sugar and it was to sweet. If you were to add some pineapple and raisins you would have bread pudding. I guess I will have to try it again. With all the raves it had to be me because this was awful. It baked up beautiful and brown though.

Melanie's Garden-Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2004
Really good and simple. My child was sick and wanted tomato soup and I was out. I also did not have any tomatoes so this is what I did. I used 2 cans of diced tomatoes with oregano, garlic and basil. I did not have a tomatoe paste so I boiled my beef bouillon cube in the water and add 2 tbsp of flour after the bouillon water was cooled. I also added more sugar than what was called for. It smelled great and tasted great. My children loved it!

Cream Cheese Candies

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2004
I agree with whatarat. I also think that they need to be baked or at least dipped in a chocolate. I let mine sit over an hour and they still did not get hard. I will not make this recipe again. Hubby and kids did not like it either. ***NOTE**** I did try this recipe again but this time I put them in the freezer for about 30 minutes. Then put them in the fridge for about a day took them out and dipped them in chocolate. What a difference it made. My kids and husband now like them. They are still pretty sweet but if you like peppermint patties that is what they taste like. Just miniature peppermint patties which will make great Christmas candies to give as a gift. I will make these again in the future. Remember to keep these in the fridge until you are ready to give them away. I also change my rating from a 2 to a 4.
