Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2015
Love the use of Olive oil and garlic. I also use butter. I used 3/4C extra crispy shake and bake, 1/4C plain bread crumbs, 2/3C parm chz. It made a soft coating on the chicken with the olive oil, but was good. Could also try using crushed stove top as a coating.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2013
This recipe is good and fast as is, but could use some tweaks for a truly superb dish. I would make it again as is if I just need to get something on that does the job, but if planning I might would try something maybe with more spices or more homemade.

Mini Meatloaves

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2013
This was a decent recipe except the sauce was too sweet. We substituted the oats with bread crumbs and cooked them in a muffin pan. Overall they were good enough to make again except will try less brown sugar next time.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2013
Chili is a recipe that costs alot with quality ingredients and takes some effort to get right so when we make it we want it to turn out perfect. This is a decent recipe, but wasn't something you would look forward to pulling back out for seconds.

Chicken Pot Pie II

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2013
I made this recipe as is except I used chicken that was already cooked, broth/fat that was already separated so that cut down on the prep time. We LOVED this dish and will definitely be making it again!!

Irish Shepherd's Pie

We loved this dish! We felt the veal was a little strong of a flavor for us so might will try half veal and half ground beef next time, but will definitely be making it again.

Overnight Blueberry French Toast

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2013
This was a decent breakfast/brunch, but takes too much time to cook in the morning and ties up the oven for an hour which is a big down side, in my opinion, especially on a holiday morning when you need the oven for Turkey, Ham, and such. It was a little soggy and the cream cheese didn't melt so was still in clumps. Getting chunks of cream cheese took away from the rest of the dish. I don't think I would make this again given the time it takes in the morning (30 min. to set out of the fridge and then another hour in the oven on top of prepping the sauce), but if I did I would probably use a little less milk and egg mixture or a bigger dish with more bread AND would use less cream cheese and melt it with some blueberries and pour it over instead of leaving it in chunks. The blueberry sauce was super simple and I give it 5 stars! Will be using it again for sure with regular french toast or other suitable dishes. Overall, this recipe was okay, but could be better with some tweaks. However, I would not consider it a good holiday breakfast/brunch as the time it takes to cook and prep the morning of is too inconvenient. It is a really pretty dish when done though so if you are looking for something pretty to present and have the time in the morning this would be a great choice (again with some small tweaks).
