Reviewed: May 29, 2006
This was great. I made changed based on other reviews. I cut the recipe in half. I used 1/2 cup mayo and 1/2 cup sour cream. I used 4 ounces cream cheese and 4 ounces cheddar. It was wonderful and not greasy at all. I will definatly be making this again.

Water Chestnuts Wrapped in Bacon

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2008
I LOVE these. I used 1/2 cup soy sauce and 1/2 cup brown sugar. mixed it all together and then let them marinate. I cooked mine at 375 for 25 minutes because I wanted them very crisp. I made up a nice sauce of equal parts honey and mustard. It was a perfect dip for these gems! Thanks for posting!

Grilled Halibut with Cilantro Garlic Butter

Reviewed: May 22, 2006
This was really really good. I used mahi mahi instead of halibut. I served this with the Baked Asparagus with Balsamic Butter Sauce from this site and also a side of lemon pasta. It was a great meal!

Mission Mexican Pizza

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
I thought this was very good. I gave 4 stars because I feel it needed a few changes. I used enchilada sauce in place of the pizza sauce. Also, I cooked the ground beef with a packet of taco seasoning, to add flavor. It turned out great!

Rocky Road Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2006
Wonderful!!! This is a great recipe and so easy!!! I used whole milk in place of the light cream and it still turned out very creamy and rich. A great texture! I also used toasted sliced almonds instead of pecans and it was truely wonderful. Thanks for sharing this!

Roasted Chicken Salad Bites

Reviewed: May 17, 2006
This was wonderful chicken salad. I didnt have any sunflower seeds, which I regret because Im sure it would have been great. I cut out the croissants and served these on endive leaves. Very light and very pretty. Rave reviews from tons of people at my party. Thanks for posting.

Pork Chop Veggie Medley

Reviewed: May 22, 2008
This was ok. I used 1/3 cup red wine in addition to the 1/3 cup water and deglazed the pan and let reduce in half. This added a deeper flavor. The porkchops were definitely tender and good, but I felt the sauce and veggies lacked flavor. I ended up using alot of salt and pepper, and that helped.

Caramel Pretzel Nut Popcorn

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2006
This was sooo good. I scaled the recipe down to 12 servings and it still made a ton! I boiled the sugar mixture for 8 minutes to make sure the candy hardened really well. It turned out great. The only thing I will do differently next time is stir the mixture with a wooden spoon because my plastic spoon melted right into the mixture and I had to start over.

Ali's Amazing Bruschetta

Reviewed: May 13, 2006
This was great. I made a few changes. I added 1 T balsamic vinegarette. Also, I served the mixture cold, in a bowl. I served toasted baguette rubbed with garlic on the side...so the bread didnt get soggy.

Easy Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: May 25, 2011
This was ok. I thought it was very basic. I did use 2 cans of tuna and I added a little milk to the soup mix so it would be more runny. I also added 1 can of mixed veggies to boost the health factor.

Molten Chocolate Cakes With Sugar-Coated Raspberries

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2006
These are awesome! Ive always wanted to make these cakes for company but they always seemed so complicated. This recipe was super easy. I followed it exactly, except that I used small muffin cups. Also, I used the kind of Pam with flour in it and the cakes came right out of the paper cups. I will definatly be making these again and again!

Real Homemade Tamales

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2013
Im only giving this 4 stars because I had to make a lot of changes. As written it is very bland and heavy. The first batch I made the masa turned out very plain and heavy too. I made another batch the next day and I made many changes based on others input. I cooked pork shoulder with an onion and a whole head of garlic, separated. I used the pork broth to mix with the masa. To the chili sauce I added an onion and 6 cloves of garlic and some chili powder and cumin and lots of salt, blended it all up and mixed half with the meat and half with the masa. I also added sliced pickled jalapenos to the meat mix. I also like to add 1 black olive and a thin slice of potato to each tamale after I put the meat filling on the masa. My 2nd batch turned out so well. I also made some with a strip of green chile and cheese, they were yummy too. Im so glad I finally decided to make some tamales on my own. I cant wait to experiment with other fillings.

Cinnamon Popcorn II

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2006
I thought this was pretty good. I followed exactly. The paper bag method doesnt really work well at all. I ended up dumping mine in a large roasting pan and stirring it. Then I baked it in the oven for 30 minutes too. Came out just a tad chewey, so next time I will cook the candy mixture a couple minutes longer. Thanks for posting. I will definatly make this one again!

Breakfast Casserole III

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2009
Great recipe. I used frozed potatos obrien instead of baking my own. I also added some chopped bell peppers to the sausage when I browned it. As great as it was, the leftovers were even better the next day wrapped in a tortilla with some sour cream and hot sauce!

This was awesome! The only change I did was to microwave the apples for 2 minutes before pouring onto the cheesecake. The consistance turned out perfect!

Middle Eastern Kibbeh

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2012
This was so good. We had kibbeh at my husband's bosses house and we have been wanting it ever since. This recipe was wonderful. I pressed it into a pan and baked it. I added a half cup of toasted pine nuts. Next time I may add more seasonings and salt. I served it with a salad of tomato, cucumber, onion, olive oil and lemon. Then some hummus, tzatkiki and pitta bread.
