Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2011
This is a wonderful recipe! I made a few changes based on the suggestions of others. I used no water, and I used softened butter instead of melted, so I could have a crunchy topping. I cut the butter right into the oat mixture. I also used McIntosh apples, and it was very tasty!

Ida's Lemon Mousse

I love this recipe! I made only one substitution, I used a can of Mountain Dew instead of the lemonade. I turned out very well, and I got many questions for the recipe at a recent baby shower.

No Bake Peanut Butter Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2008
My husband really loved these bars. I thought they had a good taste, but were hard to cut and were very crumbly. I may try this recipe with a little honey mixed in next time to keep the bars together.

Chili Dog Casserole II

Used my own leftover chili rather than canned chili, and I think it made it taste better. The kids loved it, but I think I will make again using chicken.

Easy Beer Bread Mix

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2007
I really liked this recipe. I was simple to make. Like another reviewer stated, skip the Italian seasoning. It will taste better without. I also used a honey lager, and it made the bread taste great! I will definitely make again.

I did not like the used of bread in this recipe, so next time I substituted by using bread crumbs. Worked much better! Also used cubed ham instead of sausage and that was delicious.

Three Berry Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2007
I made this recipe last Christmas for my family and they loved it! I used Splenda instead of sugar to make it diabetic friendly for my grandparents and it tasted just like I used sugar. I also substituted flour for the cornstarch because I was out of cornstarch and that worked just fine. Will be making again for family gatherings.

Old-Fashioned Onion Soup

I really enjoyed this recipe. It made for a great dinner to come home to after a long cold day. My husband really loved this soup! The only change I made was to add beef broth instead of chicken. This also freezes well. I froze the leftovers to use as lunch at work. Perfect!

I really loved the flavor of this recipe! I definitely will make again, but I too had trouble rolling the cookies. I plan to add some peanut butter and maybe more oats next time.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2007
This is a wonderful recipe. I put it in took cook on low when I left for work, and 9 hours later it was delicious! The biscuits are a great idea, they make wonderful dumplings! I also added tons of frozen garden vegetables and it tasted just like my Grandma's. This will definitely become a fall/winter favorite in my house.

Very delicious recipe! Just like eating little mini-loaves of banana bread. My husband simply loved them to take as a quick breakfast on the way to work.
