Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2013
This was really good, I used breakfast sausage instead of ham, but apart from that - I didn't deviate. It has a lot of flavor, but it's heavy. I'ts true comfort food"- good ol'stick to your ribs eatin at it's finest! I served it with some fruit and that provided the balance this dish needed.

Kung Pao Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2013
...it was just okay, and really nothing to get excited about. Take a look at the ingredients, and really, what you see is what you get. There are considerably better kung pao recipes than this with a greater depth of flavor with a lot less work.

Mad Hatter Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2011
This was really very good, however, it was a little sweet for my taste. reducing the sugar by half, and adding some red pepper flakes would take it over the top. It's a keeper!

Beef Bulgogi

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2011
I made the recipie just as it was written, and it was fine. However it was all very one note, and needed a greater depth of flavor to be really good. My reccomendations would be to add a teaspoon of red pepper flakes, a teaspoon of finely chopped ginger and some kind of citrus or kiwi. Overall, it was good - not great, but I think it could be with some help.

London Broil II

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2011
Excellent! It was a lazy night last night, and I didn't feel like scoring the meat - so I punched a bunch of holes in it with a fork, and tossed it all in a gallon ziplock bag, mashed it around and let it do its stuff! Tonight I jacked the heat on the BBQ to 550 degrees and seared both sides for a minute, lowered the temp to medium and cooked it for 8 minutes a side and then let it rest off the fire for another 10 minutes - it was perfect! All in all - it was very simple, very quick and better than our local steak house! Rock on!

Sesame Pasta Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2011
This was good, but it was very "one note" for us. I added some red pepper flakes on my plate, and that helped. Nuts perhaps might add to it, crispy oriental noodles maybe... grapes? Something that will add another layer. It really was good, but it needed something to perhaps take it to the next level. Thank you for sharing!

Cordon Bleu Chicken Rolls

Reviewed: May 21, 2011
This was really very good. I pounded the first breast too hard, and it broke apart. After that, I used considerably less force, and took my time, and they flattened pretty well. I would also reccomend using panko, it really crisped up nicely. They were easy, and very impressive to serve!

Swiss Chicken Casserole II

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2010
I suppose it's fine for what it is - but like others - I expected more. If you look at the ingredients - you can pretty much tell exactly what you will get. There is no magic here. However - if you need an easy meal - this would qualify.

Quick Lemon Dijon Chicken

The lemon & lime gave this a nice depth. Based on other reviews I reduced the Dijon by half, and it was about perfect.

King Ranch Chicken Casserole III

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2007
Well... It was just okay. The flavor was okay, the texture was okay... I was expecting "more" I guess. I did follow many of the other suggestions and cut back on the broth - I'm very grateful. I'm also very grateful for the tip to let it sit. Follow both of those tips - dinner will turn out... well, okay.

I guess everyone has different tastes. I believe to rate a recipe fairly you must make it according to the directions - which I did. This just didn't suite our tastes at all.
