Wonderful Waffles

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2010
Wow these are good! Time consuming but worth the time. The second time I made these I was more organized so it went a bit faster. I highly suggest these for a brunch when you have company over! My only change was to add some cinnamon - GREAT RECIPE!

Sloppy Joes II

This is simple and good. I give the recipe 4 stars as written. 5 stars if you add worchestershire sauce! Just a little bit of Lea & Perrins goes a long way

Key Lime Pie I

Reviewed: May 9, 2010
This turned out great, everyone enjoyed this! I followed the recipe exactly and wouldn't change a thing. I definitely recommend serving straight from the freezer, it was a bit soft when thawed for 30 min. Thank you for a great recipe!

Pork Loin Chops in Apple Cream

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2010
This recipe turned out great! The pork chops were nice and moist, not tough. Let me mention one thing I used applesauce instead of apple cider (didn't have cider) it "melted down" perfectly. I also swirled some real maple syrup into the sauce and it added a really nice flavor!

Cheryl's Spinach Cheesy Pasta Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2010
This is a great recipe but as it is written it is bland. I added sauted onion and garlic, S&P, and a little bit of red pepper. This made it a great dish!

Italian Love Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2010
I made this for Valentines Day. It turned out great! Very glad I read the reviews to make a day ahead! I cannot stress it enough! Make it the day before!! I could agree with others that the ricotta layer could be a bit sweeter, but it was wonderful when eating "straight down" (all three layers) I won't change a thing next time I make it. Hope you enjoy as well!

Pumpkin Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2007
This is a great recipe! The whole family loved them. I added a little flax and wheat germ and it blended in just fine. I'm always looking for recipes that I can add flaxseed into. I will definitely print and put in my recipe box!

Skillet Ham and Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2007
This was good! Thanks for a recipe using instant rice. (Often when I sub instant rice and try to use it with a recipe it dosen't work because I have the time or water amount "off".) This was great as a sidw with left over ham

Easy Swedish Apple Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2007
This was excellent! Everyone enjoyed this. It was very easy, I wasn't rolling out anything. I added some more cinnamon and nutmeg when tossing the apples. I used 4 large apples and the amount was perfect. Try this one!

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2007
Why didn't I try this sooner? This recipe is amazingly easy. I had a very large chicken (from a farmer)it filled the entire crockpot and, this did not need 8 hours. I was very liberal with the seasonings and stuffed w/ onion, garlic, and more seasonings. I tried to take this out of the crockpot to "carve" but it just fell apart! I was able to get 2 large breast pieces, the rest was smaller pieces great for soup, casseroles, or salad. Try this!

Mexican Chicken I

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2007
This was excellent! I added chopped onion, and used only 1TBS of cumin and chili powder. I used pineapple sala (newmans own) and this was great! Make sure you use a salsa you like and this will turn out well.

Black Bean Pizza

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2007
A great recipe. The type of dough used makes a difference, once in a while I make homemade dough. This has turned out great for me with any dough - except I use mozzarella, provolone, or fontina. What ever cheese I have on hand or what ever is on sale. THANK YOU for a great recipe.

Red Velvet Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2007
This is an excellent recipe. The frosting is very good. I followed the suggestion of another review and took this out when it was almost done. (Toothpick still had a little goo) I took it out and let it set. When we ate this it was perfectly cooked and I might even say dry. (typical for red velvet) I will definitely make this again if not make the frosting for another cake!

Caramel Apple Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2007
This is an excellent recipe! EVERYONE loved this, kids and adults. I used 1 cup of sweet almond oil and 1/3 cup vegetable oil. This reduced the oil amount slightly, and it did not turn out greasy as others had mentioned. I omited the nuts. I will definitely be making this again! Great for the fall when apples are on sale1

THIS WAS GREAT!, definitely needed some milk though. I used carrots and brocoli instead of peas, and I added about 1/4 c milk.

Heavenly Pink Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2007
WOW, This was good. A nice change from the green watergate salad. (I've been to too many potlucks) I've made this 3 times now and has turned out great. One time I used a cheap pie filling and was kind of dissapointed. The other 2 times I used comstock and it turned out well. After the first time I used 2 can of pie filling and 2 can mandarin oranges. I bought those toasted almonds that are next to the croutons in the store and it was excellent!
