About this Cook
I'm married with two kids, I focus on healthy and delicious for my meals. I prefer to make homemade because I know whats in the food, and whats not in it! I don't make treats that often, when I do I like to go all out with rich classic desserts.
My favorite things to cook
Italian recipes, I like to try new things!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I didn't grow up with a mom in the kitchen. Everything I know is self taught. Allrecipes is great for trying something you have never prepared. You get a lot of "feel" for the recipes by reading the reviews
My cooking triumphs
Learning to cook! (and not being afraid of the gas stove) Years later I can honestly say I'm a great cook! I have dishes I'm known for at church. Friends and family would disown me if I showed up without the classics.
My cooking tragedies
during my second pregnancy I was always getting "ideas" for meals, some of them were pretty bad!

Wonderful Waffles
Wow these are good! Time consuming but worth the time. The second time I made these I was more organized so it went a bit faster. I highly suggest these for a brunch when you have company over! My only change was to add some cinnamon - GREAT RECIPE!

Sloppy Joes II
This is simple and good. I give the recipe 4 stars as written. 5 stars if you add worchestershire sauce! Just a little bit of Lea & Perrins goes a long way

Key Lime Pie I
This turned out great, everyone enjoyed this! I followed the recipe exactly and wouldn't change a thing. I definitely recommend serving straight from the freezer, it was a bit soft when thawed for 30 min. Thank you for a great recipe!
