Fresh Cherry Crisp

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2012
As written, this gets three stars simply because every component tastes great! However...this is seriously not enough cherries and WAY TOO much topping. This is coming from someone whose favorite part of a fruit crisp is the topping. Since I have a large family and will need the 13x9 pan, next time I will use closer to 5 cups of cherries, and about 1/2 to 2/3 the topping. Probably closer to 1/2. Like I said though, the crisp was great, and the cherries were great, but they were hidden! I still can't wait to try again!

My family loved these! Next time, I want more crunch, so I might double the coating. It made the house smell divine.

This was fantastic! I did not add walnuts, but followed the rest of the recipe exactly. It was delicious and I am adding chocolate chips next time!

Juicy Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2011
This was the best roast chicken I have ever made, and I have tried quite a few. My husband and kids loved it. I did everything exactly as written except that my bird was closer to 5lbs so I cooked it a bit longer. The end result was a juicy chicken that made a great dinner and even better leftover chicken salad! This is my new go to recipe!

My family loves this recipe! I have four children, two of which are extremely picky eaters. They both came back for seconds. I will be using this recipe often.

Amazingly Easy Irish Soda Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2010
I didn't care for the texture of this bread, but the kids are eating it up. Maybe next time I'll try it in a loaf pan, or two loaf pans. Although, I don't think I'll make this from scratch again.

Pumpkin Cookies V

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2009
4 stars simply because the taste was outstanding. I am sure the reason they didn't come out right has to do with children who take off with my measuring cups. I think I used too much shortening. The frosting also did not set up right...not even a good consistency for a glaze. Anyway, I will try again, with the proper measuring tools, and see if I can get it right!

This turned out good. I was in a hurry though, so next time I try it I will slow down ALOT. The cupcakes were a hit though...no one had any complaints! It had a good vanilla flavor which I liked alot.

Strawberry Cake from Scratch

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2009
Unfortunatly, this did not work out for me. I don't think I will try it again. The cake fell in the oven, and fell apart when I took it out of the pan. I had made it for my daughter's 1st birthday and now I don't know what I am going to do...yikes.

This was good. I doubled it to fit in a 13x9 pan. I used provalone instead of American cheese bc that is what I had on hand. I will make this again.

BLT Pasta Salad

Reviewed: May 25, 2009
This was very good. I made it for company. I did a few things differently than the recipe states. I added a handful of sharp cheddar, I used Kraft ranch with bacon dressing, and I used minced onion. Next time, I will use a real onion, I think this salad needed that.

Awesome cookies! I was so shocked, but with so few ingredients these were too easy to pass up. Next time, I think I will cook a tad longer and maybe add a splash of vanilla.
