About this Cook
Busy mom of a 4 year old girl. I do apartment rentals with my family for my income and for fun I work as a florist. I love to tinker in the kitchen and love trying out my "experiments" on anyone that will try them.
My favorite things to cook
Comfort food above any beyond anything. I like things that are easy to tweak and don't require a full kitchen of dishes to clean when I'm done.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making the super secret gravy recipe for Thanksgiving every year. I even had to call my mom to walk her thru it while in labor the year I missed Thanksgiving due to my girls birth 4 years ago!Of course it wasn't EXACTLY my recipe but I gave her a close enough version.
My cooking triumphs
Making mozzarella after epically failing the first 3 times.
My cooking tragedies
See the above mozzarella tragedies! Oh, did I mention the batch of cookies that tragically were burned because I forgot to pull them out in time?!

Soft Oatmeal Cookies
Don't use 3 cups of oats! I used 2 and chilled overnight. I added 1.5 cups raisins. These turn out soft and stay moist for days!

Angie's Perfect Dinner Rolls
Easy to prepare and extra rolls freeze nice. Just pull em out and bake as needed. Family favorite.

Easy Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream
Very easy and fun project for my daughter and I to do together. We used chopped chocolate instead of the chips and took other's advice on using mint extract instead of peppermint. Just like the store kind but now I know what is in it!
