About this Cook
A native to Texas, I just spent the past 9 years living in Bavaria, Germany, between Munich and Salzburg, Austria, and have relocated in the Pacific Northwest, USA. From Southern cooking, to European, to Costal, I have had a pretty amazing cooking experience and look forward to this next new chapter in cooking and entertaining. I have learned to cook under the pressure of limited resources as well as an infinite amount of wonderful international ingredients such as cheese, breads, and wines. I Love to travel, cook, photgraph, draw and paint, decorate, research other cultures/cooking/lands. I Love biking and hiking, fishing (my favorite) and shopping. I enjoy classical and acoustic music, jazz, R&B, country, Bluegrass, period music, acapella voice and folk music. I love being a mom and a pet owner, and look forward to experiencing the next chapter in our lives in the Pacific Northwest.

International,Middle Eastern, Mexican, Mediterranean, Italian, Asian Stir-Fry, German, French, Southern...everthing infused with a little bit of my own style.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My daughter loves my Asian stir-fry best and we enjoy different styles at least twice a week. Turkey for Thanksgiving and Christmas, lamb for Easter, homemade ice cream and sorbets in the summer. Picnics include homemade fried chicken and I make the salads. BBQ a regular tradition on the weekends.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies
The BEST chocolate cookie ever! This is my second great choco cookie recipe I have found on AR, and both were great, but this is the best. I had to use baking margarine because I was out of butter. It worked beautifully. We rolled these fairly large, about 1 1/2 times the size of a golfball. We didn't have chocolate chips, so we broke up semi-sweet baking chocolate bars, so these were Chocolate Chunk. Fantastic, our new CC recipe!

Old Fashioned Onion Rings
These are the best onion rings I've EVER eaten. Make only with sweet white or yellow onions! We tried both red and white and red doesn't work. My husband made these and if I make them again I'm going to "double dip" them in the batter before frying because the batter is so good.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread
This recipe DESERVES a 5 Star rating, they are THAT good! **For those of you who gave this anything less , you probably used cheap quality pumpkin puree, because there is nothing wrong with the flavor of the recipe - it's perfectly balanced. I made this into jumbo muffins. I did the recipe exactly as suggested plus added 3/4 cup raisins. This is the best pumpkin bread/muffin recipe I have ever made, and I make them often. I used homemade pumpkin puree from a Hokaido pumpkin. I cut the pumpkin in half, removed pulp and seeds, and put the pumpkin halves in a water bath for around half an hour, until it was soft (remember to remove stump and any ugly bumps but cook with rind on). I pureed the pumpkin after it cooled and used it for my pumpkin puree. The color is gorgeous and the puree really does taste totally fresh, like right out of your garden. This recipe would use 2 1/2 cups fresh puree.
