Three Cheese Manicotti II

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2008
Wow - this was great! I added some hot sausage to the mixture. I also tried the ziploc method for stuffing... it took some getting used to but worked wonderfully in the end. I did not boil or soak the pasta first and to my surprise - it turned out fantastic - the cooking time was just increased by about 15 mins. Like another person suggested, I tried the marinara sauce II recipe. I was told that it was the best italian dish ever! If I could give it more stars I would!!

Pork Chop and Cabbage Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2007
Very good dish. I, too, added extra seasoning. I sauteed the onions and garlic while I browned the chops. I followed others and sliced the potatoes thin - in retrospect I wish I had sliced them thicker. My pork was a bit dry - so I will probably immerse it into the mix next time. Overall... we were very satisfied!

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2006
Wow - this was a hit! Everyone loved these wings. The only thing I did different was bake them in the oven instead of frying. This one is a keeper. Thank you!

Parmesan Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2005
You weren't kidding! This was the best potato soup ever! I added garlic, didn't add all the salts, doubled up on the basil, used buttermilk and cut the amount in half. Also, I cooked the onions in the bacon drippings. Boy was it good!

Banana Loaf Cake I

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2005
This was really good. I made it with wheat flour and it was good but made it a little gritty, so I wouldn't suggest it. I will make it again - but with white flour this time. And I added about a cup or so of chopped walnuts. It was very moist.

Butternut Squash Bisque

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2005
This was very good. I used allspice instead of nutmeg and a few cloves of minced garlic as others suggested - boy was that a good choice! I also baked the squash first which made it easy to peel. It almost has a middle eastern flavor to it. VERY YUMMY!

Whole Wheat Honey Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2004
This turned out really good. I made a couple changes...I didn't have any milk powder, so I left that out and I didn't have honey, so I used maple syrup. I think I'll add some nuts next time. I will make this again.

Pasta With Spinach Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2004
This was SOOOOO good! I only used 1 pkg spinach and that was more than plently. I used a little more ham, way more garlic and wheat penne noodles. We usually don't like spinach, but this was unbelievable. No one spoke during dinner because we were too busy shoving the food in!
