Amy's Garlic Egg Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2005
This was awesome...I couldn't believe how moist the chicken turned out. The garlic flavor is really delicious, even after only marinating it for two hours.

Creamy Italian Dressing I

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2005
Not impressed...tasted mostly like mayonnaise. Won't be making it again.

Blackened Salmon Fillets

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2005
This was pretty good. It filled the kitchen with smoke so next time I'll try it on the grill. It also needs a bit more of the cayenne...didn't really have enough heat for our tastes.

Sugar Cookie Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2005
This was okay. I think next time I'll try it with butter because this definitely left a "shortening" flavor in your mouth. Otherwise, a great frosting to work with.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2005
I'm not impressed...very bland and a pain to roll out. I'm still in search of the perfect recipe.

Aloo Phujia

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2005
This was good. I pre-cooked the potatoes a bit too much. The end result was a very tasty dish that was rather mushy. I also doubled the spices to ensure we got the full flavor. Delicious.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2005
These were the best brownies we've ever had. So much better than any boxed mix. They did come out rather cake-like, but were delicious nonetheless. I'll try not to mix the batter so much next time.

Brazilian Chicken with Coconut Milk

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2005
This was a nice change. It's incredibly spicy, which suited our tastes just fine. Next time I think I'll simmer the chicken in the sauce for a bit so it can soak up some of the flavors.

Queijadas

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2005
My husband loved these. Nice and chewy on the outside with a smooth, creamy center. They were a pain to get out of the pan so next time I'll be sure to do a better job greasing the muffin cups. Otherwise, they are a simple, delicious dessert.

General Tsao's Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2005
This had a pretty good flavor but it's definitely way too much cornstarch for our taste. I'll have to alter the recipe a little next time.

A Very Popular BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2005
Nice and sweet with a kick. We used it to make Barbeque Chicken Pizzas and it was perfect. I didn't have any red wine vinegar so I had to substitute white instead, but it was still quite good.

I had to use frozen blueberries but it was still quite good. The topping was very cake-like, not what we're used to but delicious nonetheless.

Easy Focaccia

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2005
My first try at making focaccia and it was a success. I drizzled a little extra olive oil and sprinkled some kosher salt on top. I was out of parmesan but it still tasted wonderful.

I was looking for a last minute recipe to use with chicken tenders and this turned out great. They were juicy inside and nice and gooey outside. Can't wait to try them with chicken wings.

Cornbread I

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2005
This is a very traditional cornbread recipe. Nothing fancy, but quite delicious. If cornbread makes you think of Jiffy...you probably won't like this.
