Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2006
These were so yummy. If you like the biscuits at Red Lobster, but don't like paying for overpriced, overcooked, previously frozen fish, then you'll love this recipe.

Chicken Stuffed Buns

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2006
These were so good. I did cut back on the garlic just a bit, using 4 cloves instead of six. Pulsing everything in the food processor made for a really quick and delicious meal.

Chicken Florentine Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2006
Delicious flavors, but I will probably double the sauce next time. I served it over egg noodles and it was a bit dry. I used frozen spinach instead of canned. Otherwise, it's makes for a really great dinner, especially if you're a spinach lover.

Lemon Garlic Tilapia

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2006
Nice and simple, but full of flavor. Cooking the fish inside foil packets helps to really seal in the moisture and flavor.

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2006
So, chocolaty and so delicious. This is one moist cake, and the liqueur is a nice addition. I didn’t have any chocolate chips but it was awesome nonetheless.

I marinated the chicken for 24+ hours...it turned out so moist and delicious. Super easy and versatile recipe.

Asian Potato Salad

This turned out much better than expected. Delicious with Asian Tuna Patties and some pineapple chutney. It was even better the next day.

Baked Beans II

I always wondered how my mom turned a regular can of pork and beans into barbecue side dish heaven...now I know. Fan-tas-tic!

Spinach Ziti

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2006
This was surprisingly good. Served with a nice salad, it made for a delicious light dinner. My husband didn't even complain about the lack of meat. Definitely a keeper.

Chicken Garlic Pizza

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2006
This is a great alternative for those who don't care for typical tomato sauce pizza. I didn't have any ricotta so I substituted with mozzarella. We're looking forward to making these again.

Curried Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2006
I left out the can of tomato sauce and it still made more than enough sauce to serve over rice. It was easy to make and so flavorful. This will be a new regular at our house.

Roasted Herb Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2006
The chicken was delicious, the gravy was even better. We made sandwiches out of the leftovers for lunch that were just awesome. Really easy to make ahead of time and you can do so many different things with it.

Zucchini Patties

Very, very good. I used a red onion sliced very fine and added a little italian seasoning to the mix. They were so delicious served with sour cream.

Apple Stuffed Chicken Breast

Reviewed: May 28, 2006
This was really good. I doubled the gravy, and used chicken broth instead of water. I skipped the toothpicks and just wrapped the breasts using cooking string. It took so little time for such a nice dish.

Asian Fire Meat

Reviewed: May 25, 2006
Not bad, but not great. It was a bit on the salty side. The word "fire" should definitely not be in the title, as it was barely spicy. The recipe for "Awesome Korean Steak" on this site is much better.

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

Reviewed: May 22, 2006
Turns out, meringue is not my friend. It never really got stiff and separated from the pie filling...it was also quite weepy. The lemon filling itself was pretty good...but I've had better. Probably won't make this one again.

Janine's Best Banana Bread

Reviewed: May 22, 2006
Not bad, could have been a bit moister. I thought the sweetness was perfect and it was a great way to use up some bananas that were on their way out. Perfect in the morning with just a little butter. I did use half brown sugar and half white and added a teaspoon of vanilla. I wouldn't hesitate to make it again, just maybe add a little milk next time.

Pie Crust III

Reviewed: May 22, 2006
Sometimes simpler is better. I have messed up typical pie crust recipes so many times, I thought there was no way this was going to turn out decent with so few ingredients. I left the dough in the fridge overnight and it rolled out perfectly between plastic wrap. It had a great texture and could be used for both savory and sweet pies.

Garlic Cheddar Chicken

Reviewed: May 22, 2006
Super easy to make and with ingredients I usually have on hand. I pounded the chicken out thin to speed up the cooking time and they turned out surprisingly moist.
