Super Easy Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2012
This is delicious as is. I did add carrots and celery. That's the only thing I changed. I do like my chicken and dumplings thick so next time I will add flour.

Easy Cheese Ball II

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2012
It was delicious.I can't stop eating it. I made it the day before. I can see it might be strong for some but I liked it the way it was. For those who want a milder flavor, just use half a package of the dressing.

Chicken and Spinach Alfredo Lasagna

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2009
This is definitely not 5 stars. It tasted much like tuna helper (without tuna of course). I think with a different alfredo sauce it could be better. The cream of mushroom soup just gave it a cheap taste. It was just too much work for what it was.

I give a four stars but with some adjustments it is a 5 star. I made changes that JillyBean14 summarized from other posts. Turned out great.

Crispy Catfish

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2009
It was a nice alternative to fried catfish. Will make again. However, it was a bit salty even though I used reduced sodium saltines. Next time I will reduce the salts.

Pesto Pasta with Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2008
This is delicious. I've made it twice. I used sun-dried tomato pesto and added extra garlic. I imagine you get a different flavor depending on the type of pesto you use. I will try it next time with the traditional basil pesto. This also reheats very well. It is almost better the next day.

Roast Chicken with Rosemary

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2008
Very delicious and simple. The vegetables taste great from the juices of the chicken. I was surprised with how much flavor the dish had. I added lemon to the inside of the chicken like a few have suggested.

Make Ahead French Toast

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2006
Let me first say that it was good. However, it tasted nothing like French Toast. If you are wanting the taste of French Toast then this recipe is not the one. It tasted, like many have said, like cinnamon rolls. For that reason I gave it 3 stars. For me, it is too sweet to eat alone. It would be fine along with some other breakfast foods but not alone. I didn't have any problems with sticking as others did. I used Crisco and greased a pyrex dish. I followed the directions to the T except I reduced the milk to one cup. I probably won't make again because I just don't care for really sweet breakfast foods.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2006
This is a very delicious and easy soup. As is, it is very good, but I made only one small change. After the potatoes were done cooking, I used a masher to break them up more. I also added green beans. I try to sneak in vegetables when I can in my dishes. However, it would have been fine without them. I cooked the green beans before adding them to the soup since they take longer to cook than potatoes. Kale or Swiss Chard would also make an excellent addition.

Quick and Easy Goulash

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2006
I bit bland for my taste but a good base recipe to start with. I subtitute italian sausage for the ground beef. For the sauce. I use 2 cans of diced tomatoes (drained) and one can of tomato sauce. I let the sausage simmer with the sauce for 10 minutes or until it thickens. The diced tomatoes gives the dish texture and substance that it needs. I also added some fresh garlic. With these changes my husband LOVES this dish and its pretty simple and easy for me. I love those type of dishes.
