Classic Waffles

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2008
I didn't care for these waffles. There were not very flavorful and I didn't like the texture, too crisp and not soft inside.

Coconut Cream Meringue Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2008
This really is an exceptional dessert, one of the best I've ever made--and I don't say that often. The only change I made was to make a graham cracker crust rather than a traditional pie crust because graham cracker crusts hold up better with refridgeration.

Mom's Ginger Snaps

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2007
I made this recipe because I didn't have any butter in the house. They are okay, but not nearly as good as recipes that call for butter. So if you want to avoid butter, this recipe is fine. Otherwise, there are many better ginger snap recipes.

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2007
Fantastic banana bread. I used part brown sugar, added cinnamon, and mashed the bananas rather than slicing them. Very moist and flavorful.

Delicious Raspberry Oatmeal Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2007
I didn't like this recipe. The bars fell apart and the flavor lacked something. I've made another recipe on this site which is much better.

Chewy Peanut Butter Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2007
Great bars. I melted bittersweet chocolate chips on top at the end. The bars are sweet so I prefer the choc chips to frosting.

Cranberry Apple Relish

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2006
This recipe is WAY too sweet. I want cranberries to taste like cranberries, to have some degree of tartness. I used less Splenda than the recipe called for but it still overwhelmed any cranberry flavor.

Decorator Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2004
As written, this frosting recipe is far too sweet. Even my eight year old nephew found the amount of sugar overwhelimg. I cut the sweetness with about 1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice, which helped enormously. The spreading consistency is good and makes it easy for the kids to decorate cookies with.

Easy Key Lime Pie I

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2004
Delicious key lime pie recipe. It is a very tart pie, so I consider whipped cream a must with it. I used fresh key limes. Wonderful, tart taste.

Peanut Blossoms

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2004
Very tasty cookies but they are bit too crumbly. They fall apart easily. They have a great peanut butter flavor though.

Jelly Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2004
Delicious cookies! I alternated using apricot and raspberry jam, but the raspberry were much better. The flavor seems to go better with this recipe. These cookies are prehaps not as pretty as some jam thumbprint cookies since the dough is a bit less dense, but they are scrumptuous tasting.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2004
I agree that these are excellent brownies. The frosting is also pretty good, but not as good as the brownies themselves.

Hashbrown Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2004
This recipe is okay. It works, but I don't think it's tasty enough to justify all the fat from sourcream, cheese, and cream of chicken soup.
