Coconut Macaroon Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2014
Saw this recipe and decided to use my boxed brownie mix that was in my cabinet! Added the coconut mixture in the middle, along with some chocolate chips, walnuts and caramel bits. Then added the top brownie layer. Delicious! Not changing the original recipe, just used it as a spring board. Thanks!

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2013
This was good, but I don't think it was worth all the shopping I had to do for the long list of ingredients. My husband said he couldn't tell a difference between my regular chili and this recipe. I'm going back to my simple chili. Sorry :(

Salsa Chicken Burrito Filling

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2013
Really Good!! Used low sodium taco seasoning. Cooked in crock pot with taco seasoning, chicken, tomato sauce and salsa. I added rice a roni mexican rice. Rolled into tortillas with 1 slice of Colby/Monterrey Jack cheese per burrito. Topped with 1 can of enchilada sauce, sliced black olives and more shredded cheese. Served with lettuce and sour cream on top. Served with sides of refried beans with cheese added, tortilla chips and salsa. Loved it!

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2013
Excellent recipe. I followed others advice and added some vanilla to the "soured" milk. Also, I let the combined batter mix sit for atleast 5 minutes before putting in the skillet. Turned out perfect! Added some chocolate chips & they tasted famous!!

Southern Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2012
Great recipe. Never been able to make good fried chicken, the batter always fell off! But using this recipe and others suggestions, the chicken was beautiful!! Following others suggestions: did an ice water bath with salt, then added a few extra seasonings to the flour mixture. Gave chicken (I used drumsticks) a good few shakes in flour mixture using ziplock bag. Let sit for about 20 mintutes. Dipped chicken in 2 eggs whites & 1/4 cup water, then put back into ziplock for a few more shakes. Let that sit for 15-20 minutes. Heated oil while waiting on chicken during that 15-20 minutes, that way I knew oil would be hot enough. Cooked legs about 15 minutes. They were perfect! Will definately make again. Everyone loved them!

Cream Cheese Pound Cake III

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2012
Great recipe. Cake turned out velvety smooth. I used ingredients at room temp, cake flour, 2 tsp. vanilla, and added eggs one at a time. I, too, start with a cold oven for a wonderful crust. This one is a keeper. Thanks for the excellent recipe!

Apple Harvest Pound Cake with Caramel Glaze

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2011
So good! I used 1 1/4 cup vegetable oil and 2 tsp. of pumpkin pie spice instead of the 1/2 tsp. cinnamon. The glaze was really runny, next time I might let it sit and cool a little before drizzling it on the cake. However, the cake soaked up the glaze and it tasted great. Definately a keeper!

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2008
Great recipe. Cut up a few potatoes and onion, added salt and pepper, and put them in the bottom of the pan. Added butter under the skin of the chicken. Seasoned it with italien seasonings, garlic powder, parsley, salt and pepper. Cooked on HIGH for 4 hours. It presented beautifully on a platter with the potatoes all around. Very tender, tasted great!

OMGosh! Sooo good. Can't keep it in the house. I double the spices and also double the topping. I made one the other night to give to my in-laws and my seven-year-old had a nervous breakdown when he realized that he wasn't getting a piece!

Used this recipe when I was short a pie crust for chicken pot pie. Very easy and turned out well. It's not a flaky crust, but it was good and did the job.

Great EASY recipe. Like others, I used a fork to pull the chicken apart and then served it on sesame seed buns. The chicken was very tender and had a great flavor. Even my picky kids ate this one.

Very good, taste like Toll House. I had to add a tiny bit more flour so they wouldn't be so flat. Great cookie!
