Easy Pie Crust

Normally I use frozen pie crusts by Tenderflake. I didn't have any in the freezer so searched for an easy recipe. I just made this pie crust for pumpkin pie. I did not change anything in the recipe. I poured the pie batter into the crust uncooked and followed the cooking instructions for the pie - 15 minutes at 425 and 35 minutes at 350. I have been making pumpkin pies for over 20 years because my children love them. My 9 year old son just told me that this crust was amazing. It doesn't need any extra sugar or less salt, just perfect as is. I uploaded a picture of the filled pie shell.

Red Skinned Potato Salad

The bacon makes this great! If you are not a bacon lover, don't bother. Leaving the skin on gives it a nice texture. A real keeper.

Pumpkin Spice Cookie

These cookies were good when they were still warm, but the next day the texture became rubbery and the taste was plain. I ended up throwing them out. I would not make them again.

Curried Chicken Tea Sandwiches

I just made these to try them out for an upcoming party. I did not have any cranberries, but used strawberries instead. They were delicious. Next time I will add more pecans and more curry.

Caramelized-Onion Pork

I have tried about 25 recipes on this site and this one, by far is the easiest. My whole family loved it, including my 17 year old and his friend, and my 4 year old. It is a recipe I will use for a dinner party. The only change I made was to use more onion. I also placed baby potatoes around the meat to cook with the juices.

Caramel Apple Pie II

If you like traditional apple pie this is not the pie for you. My husband has been asking me to make apple pie for years and I finally did yesterday. I was expecting a much different reaction after all of the wonderful reviews for this pie. He said caramel does not belong in apple pie. So if your family is more conservative, do not choose this one. Not being an apple pie lover myself, this pie did nothing for me either.
