Really Basic Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2010
My favorite Peanut Butter cookie recipe to date! I didn't have high expectations from something with only 3 ingredients. Also concerned about how well the dough would hold together. Well, the dough easily rolled into balls, and the texture of the cookie was perfect! Thank you!

Patty's Mom's Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2008
I first made Patty's BB soup about a year ago, but didn't think to post a review. However, I was preparing to e-mail this recipe to my daughter and was shocked to see it only had 2 reviews! This soup was so much yummier than other Black Bean soups I tried out. First of all, to those that feel it takes to long for the bean prepartion.....really, one can skip the overnight soak. That mostly helps as far as keeping you quite so "windy" after eating. The sherry is a most! Do not skip it or any other sherry you may have on hand. I slow cook mine for the better part of a day because we like our soup rather thick. Oh, and one more thing! I once tried dipping this soup over rice, ala`Red Beans & Rice. Yeah! Majorially yummy! A side of corn bread muffins and it's all about heaven. Thanks Patty's Mom!

Split Pea Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2008
My hubby wiggled his brows with the first spoonful.....a surefire sign of a winner! I took a few liberties with this recipe, just because that's what I do. I doubled the recipe so I'd have plenty to freeze, added some chicken bouillion, garlic, thyme, a splash (or two) of cooking wine, served with corn bread and voil`a....a wonderful, filling soup. Can't wait to have it tomorrow when I know it's going to be even better! Thanks for the recipe, Sandra!

Honey Mustard Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2007
This dressing is a champ! My hubby happens to be a fussy salad eater and generally will skip most dressings so they don't ruin his salads. Made a spinach salad and this yummy dressing went with it perfectly and I didn't change a thing. Oh, may I add that the forementioned picky husband loved it? Thanks you for putting this out for others like me to copy and enjoy.

Old Fashioned Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2006
Just like my grandmother used to make! Never could get my mac & cheese casserole baked to compare anywhere near as tasty as hers, but this recipe helped me edge closer to her prize winning dish. It's a keeper in our family. Thanks Jaydene!

Weekend Brunch Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2006
Christmas morning was the first time of making this casserole. Family loved it and decided it shouldn't be made only for holiday mornings, but for any time since it's so yummy and easy to prepare. I didn't change a thing and didn't have any problem with the middle not baking enough, as some mentioned. I would imagine it depends on ones oven. Oh, one after thought....my hubby and I had the little bit that was left for our breakfast the next morning. Nuked up very well and was still delicious.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2005
Using this recipe turned what would normally be (probably) a tough old roast into a scrumptious pot of meat. The gravy.....yum, to die for. Thanks for sharing!

Spinach Ranch Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2005
This was sooooo good it quickly found it's way into the recipe boxes of other family members. I didn't have broccoli so added fresh mushrooms instead, which made the broccoli-hating grand-daughter that was eating with us happy. This will be eaten alot in our household.

Fresh Tomato Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2004
With lots of fresh tomatoes from the garden I needed a few new ideas on what to do with them. Saw this recipe, read some of the tips from other reviewers and incorporated a couple into the pie I made during a visit with my daughter and her family. It was so good an encore was requested two nights later. This is tagged as a family favorite! Thanks Britt.
