Pumpkin Cake II

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
OMG!!! This is a wonderful cake! I did change a couple of things. I used brown sugar instead of white, eggnog instead of water, 15 oz. of canned pumpkin pie mix instead of plain pumpkin, and additional cinnamon, and some nutmeg. I made a glaze with conf. sugar, and eggnog. Everyone loved it

Chocolate Lovers' Favorite Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
This was very good, but not the best I've ever had. I was expecting it to be more dense, and less fluffy. I topped it with a dark chocolate ganache, and everyone loved it! I also used vanilla extract instead of almond. I will make this again, but maybe do a little experimenting.......

Clark's Quiche

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
Very Good! I left out the meat in one of them for my Vegetarian Teenager, and it was also really good. The only thing I changed is I reduced the amount of salt. Will definitely make this again!

Candied Apples I

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2006
I used a candy themometer, and cooked it to 305. It hardened like it was supposed too, but the flavor isn't like candy apples at the fair. I really don't like the flavor at all. I'll see what my kids think when they get home from school. Maybe I'll try it using red hot candies.

Holiday Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2004
I've done this before, while camping with Girl Scouts. We cooked it for 3 hours, and it turned out perfectly. We also added whole potatoes, and unshucked corn to the coals on the top of the garbage can. This is a great idea for camping, but probably too much trouble for home.
