Stuffed Peppers with Turkey and Vegetables

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2014
This was awesome! Tasted great and used up some of the squash, tomatoes and peppers from the garden.I didn't have any mushrooms so left them out. I used fresh tomatoes, just diced and added. For seasoning, used curry powder and garam masala. Also 1 big garlic clove. We really enjoyed this.

I didn't have time to marinate - just brushed it on while they cooked. I made kabobs except for the eggplant. Wonderful.

Italian Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2014
So tasty! My husband made this for dinner and I loved it. The sauce has a rich taste. The sundried tomatoes make it kind of tangy and next time I would serve it with pasta. Will have to make this again.

Classic Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2013
I came in from work tonight and the house smelled so good. My wonderful husband had made this lasagna. He just followed the recipe except added MORE CHEESE!! Oh my gosh, it is the best meatiest, cheeseiest lasagna ever. The sauce was divine too, just right. Like other posters, did not cook the full time- 60 min was plenty.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2012
Oh these cookies are so good!! I can't stop eating them, especially with a little icing on top. We make them at Christmas and do trees and santas, then we made them today and made pumpkins with orange icing. You do have to add extra flour (and sugar) to make them "rollable". And yes do chill the dough. I was in a hurry one time and popped it in the freezer, stirred after 10 min. and used it. Don't overcook, the faintest brown edge and they are done.

Quick and Easy Pizza Crust

Reviewed: May 7, 2012
5 stars for the taste and the convenience. I was pleasantly surprised at how good this was. I followed the recipe exactly, no extra rising time, and it came out crisp and chewy, tender and tasty. Made enough for 2 -14" pizzas.

Ciabatta

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2012
Ok this bread is VERY good -in fact I'm still eating on it! Does have a little bit of a sourdough taste , slightly chewy but not dry. However I was taken aback by how runny the dough was. I was expecting a wet dough but it was more like batter! - I did add 2 Tablespoons of olive oil, not one. Had to work some flour into it to even move it on to the baking pan, picked it up with my scraper and kind of plopped it down. No shaping needed! Baked at 425 for 20 min. and though it was rather pale golden - it was done. I'm going to give it 5 stars because it seemed to be rather forgiving -as I did add more yeast than called for, and it is NO knead which is great, and it does taste great.

Jamie's Minestrone

Wonderful and delicious -did everyone add the 4 cups tomato sauce? I didn't -used 2 cans tomatoes instead. It just seemed would be way too tomatoey with all that sauce.

Homesteader Cornbread

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2012
My search for a moist cornbread is over-this was dense and tasty, not dry at all. I did use less sugar, I'm from TN and we don't make sweet cornbread. Otherwise, perfect. Thanks for the recipe!

Old Settlers' Baked Beans

I was hesitant about baked beans with ground beef, never had them before but I trusted the ratings (and the suggestions) and I'm glad I did. These were the best, tastiest baked beans. I actually said Wow! after tasting. We left out the white sugar. They were plenty sweet without it. 5 stars

Sean's Falafel and Cucumber Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
Thanks Sean - this was delicious- i had my husband mash up the chickpeas then added the rest of the ingredients except the bread crumbs, then just added and mixed till the texture was right. They held together fine. First batch browned quick! Watch your oil temp. Love the sauce too.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: May 23, 2010
I also find these addictive, I could eat them every week. And if you melt 1/4 c. butter and squeeze a half lemon in it and pour on right before you serve they are even better! For less calories just the lemon.

Nana's Mashed Turnip

When my husband described what he was making for dinner (this dish) I said oooh that doesn't sound very good. Well I ate my words and gobbled up 2 servings as this was incredibly good! I didn't see the point of cooking it lid on/lid off though. Thanks Nanna!
