Crispy Orange Beef

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2014
Flavor was there, the sauce was wonderful (definitely double it though). My beef didn't end up very crispy though, but I think that's just user error and next time I"ll be frying the beef for longer. I added in a bunch of other veggies and it definitely satisfied my craving for asian food. Even my extremely picky eater husband loved it! Will definitely make again.

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2014
SO GOOD. Even my husband, who is an extremely picky eater, went back to have seconds of this (that's very high praise from him). The flavor is amazing and easily customizable. My 1 year old daughter couldn't get enough either, it's creamy and delicious. Definitely a keeper recipe!

Scrumptious Strawberry Shortcake

Pretty good taste wise, but the texture of the biscuit wasn't quite what I was looking for.

Great recipe! Tasted great and slightly addicting. Only change was that I used 16 oz of spinach.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2014
Oh goodness. I would give more stars if I could, this recipe is FANTASTIC. I usually use the recipe for CCC's that's on the bag of the chocolate chip bag but I decided to find one on here. I made my husband a giant heart cookie for Valentines Day (as is tradition) and good Lord was this cookie delicious. Exactly as stated, it's crispy on the outside and chewy and amazing on the inside. Amazing texture and flavor. Only thing I changed was using only 1/2 cup white sugar and 1.5 cups brown sugar, as per some of the other reviews. If you're in the market for an amazing chocolate chip cookie that will impress everyone, THIS IS IT.

I've been looking for the perfect bread recipe and I think I've found it! Nice crust, great crumb and awesome flavor. I made a full batch and did 2 loaves and one batch of cinnamon rolls. This is now my go-to bread recipe!

Scott Hibb's Amazing Whisky Grilled Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2013
This stuff is awesome! The cooking technique gives the best ribs, juicy and fall off the bone. The sauce is now my go-to sauce that I use for everything. My husband loves his BBQ sauce and says this is his favorite. Must try!

Aunt Anne's Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2013
Found this recipe when I was craving coffee cake one morning and have made it many times since. This is a great coffee cake just as is but it's so easy to customize! I like to add a pinch of cinnamon to the batter and when it's ready to pour into the baking dish, I pull out about a cup and mix in a good amount of cinnamon to swirl in the regular batter. Easy to add the spices of your choice, or fruit, or whatever. I also double the topping (personal preference) and use a 9x9 pan for a thicker cake. Turns out wonderful every time and my husband always gets excited when he wakes up and sees this in the oven.

Extreme Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2013
This is phenomenal. My mother made this for me for my birthday and my husband requested it again about a week later. I whipped this up and it's the perfect cake for a chocoholic. Rich, moist, chocolatey and delicious. If you're wanting to make a chocolate cake, MAKE THIS ONE.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

SO GOOD. I didn't change the recipe at all and it was amazing. This was my first time attempting cheesecake and it came out perfectly, no cracks or anything. Highly recommend!

Bacon Wrapped Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2013
This is amazing! Only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the bacon, and that's personal preference. Good combination of flavors but next time I'll pre-cook the bacon a bit to make it a little crunchier. Cooking it in the sauce gives you soft bacon. After tasting the sauce I also added about a Tbs of dijon mustard and that gave it the kick it needed.

Judy's Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2013
I make this every time we have a family gathering or I go somewhere I need to bring a dessert. It's FANTASTIC! My family goes nuts for it and always requests it. It's good with or without sliced strawberries and with other flavors of jello too. The only thing I change is I make a bit more of the crust (usually 1.5) just because I like a bit more crust. This is a delicious recipe, easy and always a huge hit!

Father's Day Mancake Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2013
Found this recipe while looking for a pancake recipe without eggs. My husband and I both love beer and bacon so this looked perfect! Easy to make, had to beat my husband away from the bacon while it was cooling. I used Rolling Rock beer and as I didn't have butter, I just used bacon grease and left out the salt. They turned out a bit sweet but that's not surprising (and is expected) considering the bacon is candied. I thought the taste of the beer was a bit prominent, but my husband said he couldn't really taste it. Some of the pancakes came out underdone, even though they seemed perfectly cooked (that could also be attributed to my stove, it's been acting up lately). They're also pretty heavy. Overall they tasted pretty good, but could use some tweaking. If you don't like sweeter pancakes, use regular bacon and don't candy it. I'll probably try this recipe again, but fiddle with it a little.
