About this Cook
I'm always looking for easy, tasty and different. I don't mind experimenting from time to time.
My favorite things to cook
I love baking. Sweet potato bread and pies are what I enjoy most.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Sweet potato bread is a yearly tradition that the family loves.
My cooking triumphs
Pumpkin cheesecake was a surprising success.
My cooking tragedies
I tried a ricotta cake once. It was as awful of a thing I had ever seen. That was my first lesson in the benefits of room temperature ingredients.

Quick Yeast Rolls
The temptation is to add more flour. I almost did and am glad I didn't. I stuck to the directions and the bread turned out beautiful and delicious. I used an ice cream scoop to put the dough in the muffin pans after it rose the first time. I have mini loaf pans and I used those to make about 4 small loaves. It all turned out great and helped make our Thanksgiving a success!

Banana Pudding IV
I do this just a little differently. I go the dollar store and get two cheap bags of vanilla wafers. They are more firm and will soften just a bit with the pudding mixture on top of it even if it sits overnight. The vanilla wafers aren't mushy and it makes for a better banana pudding. Also, I grind up some of the vanilla wafers and sprinkle them on top of the whipped topping. It makes a beautiful and tasty layer as well. This is always a huge hit at our house and family will beg me to make it every summer.

Peanut Butter Breakfast Syrup
This was so easy to make. I used a brand name peanut butter and 2% milk out of the fridge. It was a huge hit at our brunch.
