Banana Crumb Muffins

These are very good muffins. They have a good consistency; are not dry or crumbly and are more cake-like.

Beth's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Can't beat this recipe as far as I'm concerned! I use this as a base for all kinds of cookies . . . various chips, monster, oatmeal, etc. The only thing I don't like is that they tend to get dry after a few days. I usually store them in the freezer after the first day to maintain just-baked freshness.

Ham and Swiss Casserole

Enjoyed this recipe. I added a tablespoon or two of butter to it and a tad extra milk then covered it to bake it. Turned out very good ... much better than the overdone canned soup mix-ins!

Aunt Johnnie's Pound Cake

I love this recipe. The almond flavor is a nice change from ordinary pound cake and it is so moist. I do agree - it is wonderful with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. It's a good strawberry shortcake as opposed to those dry shortcake cups they sell at the grocery store.

I also halved this recipe, and made a few alterations. I used 3/4 cup light butter, and added about 1/2 cup peanut butter. I cut up lots of nuts and reduced the baking powder to 1/4 teaspoon. Baked my cookies at 375 for 10-12 minutes. My husband and kids loved them.

Cheesy Eggplant Casserole

Didn't care much for this recipe. It needed a lot of doctoring to be decent and it still wasn't very flavorful. I won't make this again. I much prefer an eggplant parmesan recipe over noodles.

Caramel Bars

Crumble the ingredients over the top of the caramel layer?! - really??? Mine was rather sticky and I measured exactly. Also, I unfortunately didn't read the reviews before I began so I didn't make the pan adjustment everyone suggested. Recipe has potential with a great mix of ingredients, but needs too much tweaking to consider it 5 star. My result turned out good, but I'm not convinced it's the way the recipe intended.

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Loved this recipe. I mixed with my Kitchenaid mixer instead of bread machine, but it was excellent - just like from a bakery or restaurant. I brushed my dough with olive oil and sprinkled parmesan on each crescent before rolling. Be generous or the flavor won't stand up to the bread.

Brown Sugar Pound Cake I

I had two brown sugar pound cake recipes I tried last week and I thought this was the better one by far. It was like a pecan chew made into a pound cake. Really yummy.
