Do you love them? Think it's too expensive? Seems everyone has an opinion, or those who don't own a k-cup friendly machine, want to. I have a Keurig MINI Plus, and I do love it. I have to put water in it every time I use it, it does not have a huge reservoir like some of the more expensive machines.

I don't love buying the k-cups, but I do love receiving the free samples! I am always on the lookout for free samples of k-cups. Today's coffee is exactly that, a sample I received in the mail over the weekend for free. It is a lesser known brand of coffee and an innovative filter cup. The coffee tastes pretty good too! Made by Melitta The Cafe De Europa line and the coffee blend is Vienna Roast. It comes in a sealed cup and the k-cup itself is closer to a filter than a normal lil plastic k-cup. Very enjoyable!

I love my Keurig! So much that I bought one of the Mini Plus ones for my camper - it's bright yellow! I don't drink coffee in quantity - in fact I haven't had any coffee since Friday morning. I love the cappuccinos - such a fun treat on a cold afternoon.

I have 2 Tassimo machines and I love the beverages they make. However, the Kuareg machines have one huge monstrous advantage that led me to buying a Cuisinart K-cup machine and that advantage is that you can buy your own coffee, and load your own cups. Its a no brainer, I don't know how many times Ive made more coffee than I'll consume and end up throwing out the lot. That ends with this new machine. The only downside I see is that if I stick to this machine exclusively for the great drinks I've come to appreciate in my Tassimo, I'll pay about 15% more for the privlege. K-cups cost more.

I am so happy now that I can get Folger's Black Silk in a K-cup. I could never figure out how to make the reusable adapter work!

I have used one of the k cup machines only once, while I was waiting for an oil change at my car dealership. It was nice to choose from many drinks (I had cocoa) and know I had a freshly made cup. I can see that if there are several people drinking different drinks, at different times, this would be great.

I have been using a Keurig for about two years now. I will never go back to a standard coffee pot with all the mess and waste. I buy my k-cups at Costco, it averages out to about forty-seven cents a cup, and sometimes they run specials, so it's even less.

We love our Keurig! The cups may cost more than a bag of coffee would, but we waste nothing. My husband likes the dark roasted coffee, and I like the light roast, and we can both have our morning coffee without fighting over a coffee maker or making more than we'll end up drinking. It's a win-win for us. We do use the reusable filter from time to time, but we have favorites in the K-Cups, so we usually stick with them. I use it for the hot water, too for tea. Great stuff! :)

A bunch of us at work all pitched in and bought one - everyone is responsible for their own k-cups. We all love it! No waste, very little cleaning involved so it's a win-win for a work coffee machine! I did end up getting one for my husband for Christmas. I got it from QVC - they had a great price going, plus a free reusable Kcup and 102 free kcups in a variety of flavors.

I really enjoy our Keurig. We use both disposable and reusable Kcups. Now if I could only find "Eduscho Gold" in a Kcup!

I bought my husband the Keurig for Christmas from Sam's Club. It came with a variety of coffee/tea samples in the K cups. He's loving it. He had stopped drinking coffee cause he had to throw away half the normal pot...now he has a cup and is happy. He said it was the BEST Christmas present he got this year. :)

So which model would you recommend for someone who makes a cup of coffee every morning (a big mug)? Just one person using the machine.

I'm a true coffee lover and have (hold on ... let me count them) 3 espresso makers, a French press, an old tin peculator, a newer type fangled perculator (Atomic era style lol), 2 drip, and my Keurig. Oh. An one of those mini-burner type things for Arabic coffees. I try to alternate, but have to confess I find myself going back more and more frequently to my Keurig.....

My husband LOVES his Keurig. I don't drink coffee in any form, so for him to make a cup it works great. He is a no nonsense kind of guy - straight black - no flavors, no extras, nothing but plain medium roast coffee. Starbucks sometimes ask "is that all you want, plain black coffee?" His favorite flavor is Millstone Foglifter. He also has Green Mountain Coffee Half-Caff as he is not to have caffeinated coffee every day. He does have the refillable K-cups, but doesn't like the grounds that get through the mesh. He also runs hot water through it for a tea bag. I have used it for the hot water to make a hot chocolate. For a 2-people household, with only one drinking a hot item everyday, the single, add water as needed Keurig works perfect for us.

Love, Love,Love my Keurig. I have the one that holds 60 ozs of water, goes much faster than I would expect, but is perfect for about 4 cups a coffee a day. My fiance thought it was going to be a waste, and now, he's an even bigger fan than I am. We use K-cups (light and medium roast donut shoppe) I reuse my light k-cup. When i'm about halfway through my first cup in the morning, I run it on the small cup a second time. So I have 2 cups, but only use one K-cup. I had researched it and i'm told this will only work for people who like light coffee and there isn't much time before the second cup..therefore, perfect for me. We also but hot chocolate kcups and love that at night. I do have the reusable filters, i have added a tea bag to the filter and ran the water and it turned out great. I used to grind coffee each AM and brew in a French Press, almost always wasting half the coffee. This is so much better and none of the mess!!

I just purchased one of the Keurig Elite models - bid for it on EBay/brand new & was lucky for $66. Has reserve tank 48 oz. I was reluctant to buy one with tank because I did not want to leave on all the time. No problem, can power off after each use & does not take long to reheat tank. Also has autoshut off after 2 hrs. if left on. These machines use as much as a 60 watt light bulb left on, so can add 43 KWH each month to your electric bill if left on all the time! Now I'm trying to see what is the best option when I want to use my own coffee.

About Me
I am a stay at home mom who loves her two little boys. They have demanding appetites and dietary restrictions. I love to cook healthy meals and bake delicious desserts that even my little guy with acid reflux can enjoy.
My favorite things to cook
Cookies, cakes and pies. I love to bake. I have to really love a recipe to use it again, and I always use recipes as a guide. I tend to add or take away depends on the needs of my family.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love cooking holiday dinners, it is alot of work but the rewards are great. Some of the recipes on this site have become traditions in themselves!
My cooking triumphs
I prefer to bake cakes from scratch. I'm not a fan of mixes.
My cooking tragedies
pumpkin cookies...never turn out for me.
