About this Cook
I was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico in the north valley. My hubby and I now have a house in Paradise Hills, which is still in Albuquerque, NM. My mom and step-dad recently passed away, 1 year, 1 month and 1 minute apart. Both on March 24th (her in 2009, him in 2010) I moved back in with them in 2001, I cooked and took care of them till the very end. So I had to make sure I cooked good food.
My favorite things to cook
I love making Homemade bread. I make chocolate covered strawberries for Valentines Day, which I sell. The 1st year I sold them I made $800. in 5 hours. I was still selling them for 4 days.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have pictures of my kids and granddaughters baking with my mom. We all picked out which recipe we love the most from her.
My cooking triumphs
What I make the best is the bread. I love making the chocolate covered strawberries with my granddaughters, we always eat the messed up ones, and sell the pretty ones.
My cooking tragedies
I can't make rice too good, always undercooked or overcooked. Just can't get it just right.

Pumpkin Spice Cookie
I just made these cookies, I did add 1 egg and a dash of ground cloves. Too bad I only used 1 box of the cake mix. They are excellent. This is going to be my Christmas cookie for my gift baskets, and everyone will think I cooked all day.

Fresh Ginger Cookies
I had to use 3/4 cups more flour, and it tasted more like a gingersnap, which I don't like. Too much moasses. 'm never making this cookie again

Pork Tenderloin in Bourbon
I made this 8 times, I buy at least 10lbs. I also buy the bourbon by the gallon(Jim Beam). It lasts maybe 3 days in my house. Very good! I love it
