Pizza Crust I

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2011
This is the exact texture I have been looking for in a pizza crust! It was lacking a little bit in flavor for me but I can easily tweak that. I did use my KitchenAid to mix this. Thank you so much for sharing!

Smoked Salmon Spread

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2011
This is really good stuff! I am not a big seafood lover but I do like salmon and my husband makes great smoked salmon. I had some leftover and decided to try this. I had to use dried dill weed and I didn't have any green onion so I used fresh chives instead. Thanks for sharing! My picky 9 year olds even liked this!

This is a great easy recipe! So yummy too! I did microwave the peanut butter/marshmallow creme mixture just a little bit so that it was easier to spread. My whole family liked it. Thanks for sharing!

Gary's Turkey Burritos

These are really good! I didn't have 2 cans of tomato sauce so I used 1 can of rotel tomatoes with the 1 can of tomato sauce that I had. I did add some minced garlic, salt and pepper too. Thanks for sharing!

Caramel Butter Pecan Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2011
These are way too sweet for me but they aren't bad. Definitely cut in small bite sized pieces. I would make these again with a few changes for my personal tastes. I would cut back on the brown sugar a bit, use a homemade caramel sauce so I could control the sugar in that and use semi-sweet chocolate chips. I would make again with those changes because I could still tell there was good flavor there under all the sweetness. Thanks for sharing!

Chunky Monkey Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2011
These are great! I left out the nuts because I am not a fan of nuts in brownies. Other than that I didn't change a thing. This was an odd brownie recipe for me because I have never used bananas or oats in brownies before and I have to admit the oats sounded a little weird to me but I am glad I tried this. They taste so good and made the house smell wonderful too! I happened to have just the right amount of bananas, oats and chocolate chips for this. It's like it was meant to be! lol! Thanks CC for sharing! It's nice to have a recipe to use ripe bananas in that is not bread or cake or smoothies. Will definitely make again!

This is great! My son said it tasted just like a Hershey's Cookies and Cream candy bar. Will definitely use this recipe all through the year. Thanks for sharing!

Gluehwein

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2010
This is really good! I did cut back the water and sugar to 1/2 cup each. Everything else the same. Since I am the only one in my family that drinks wine I had to put most of this back in the bottle after it cooled. I thought it tasted better after it sat in the fridge for a couple of days. I like this hot or cold. Thanks for sharing!

Mimosa's Tex-Mex Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2010
This is some good stuff! I added some chili powder, garlic powder and salt and pepper to taste. I also had to use flour tortillas because I had no corn tortillas. Still good and I know it will be good with the corn tortillas too. On the very top layer I didn't have a lot of the rotel/soup mixture left so I added a little bit of red and green taco sauce. My husband had four helpings of this! This will definitely become a regular in our house. Thanks for sharing your version of this recipe Mimosa!

Peanut Butter Meltaways

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2010
These are great! I halved the recipe to try it out and didn't have any mini foil liners so I did what linda did. I lined an 8x8 glass pan with foil and poured it in there and after it set I peeled off the foil and cut them into bite sized pieces. I sprinkled half of it with some Christmas colored sugars before I put in fridge to chill. Warning: They are very dangerous as I keep going to the fridge to stuff one in my mouth! Thanks linda for recommending them on the Buzz and thanks Sarah-May for sharing!

Chicken Tallerinni

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2010
This is good stuff! I did use cream of chicken soup because my family doesn't like the mushroom soup and I only had about 4 ounces of velveeta so I used shredded colby jack for the rest. I also added some garlic powder. Really good leftovers too! I actually think it tasted better the next day. Thanks so much for sharing Sweettreats!

This is perfect! Easily doubled or tripled or more if needed. I had some apples that needed to be used and my kids went nuts for this. Thanks for a great recipe!

Soft-N-Fluffy Hamburger Buns

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2010
These are great! I mixed the dough in my KitchenAid stand mixer and let the dough rise for 30 minutes and then shaped them and let them rise again for 45 minutes. I did shape these into smaller dinner rolls and they were the most light, fluffy, tender rolls ever! I will be making this into dinner rolls again for Thanksgiving. Thanks for sharing What's for dinner, mom! Great recipe!

Caramel Frosting IV

This is really good! I only used 1/2 of the confectioners sugar and that was plenty for my tastes and it was still a nice consistency. I used it on vanilla cupcakes. Thanks for sharing!

Sweet Vanilla Cupcakes

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2010
These are fantastic! I even looked at the recipe wrong and only used 1/2 cup of sugar instead of 1 cup and they were still wonderful. I used Caramel Frosting IV from here on these and that was great, but I think any frosting would be good on these or none at all because these are good just by themselves too! Thanks for sharing Marianne!

Papas con Chorizo (Potatoes and Chorizo)

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2010
This was great! I fried my potatoes in some olive oil in a skillet instead of boiling them and I used sharp cheddar and chipotle white cheddar cheese because I had neither cojita or mozzarella on hand. I also added some scrambled eggs and served this on tortillas. Very good! Thanks SB!

Self-Filled Cupcakes I

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2010
These are pretty good but I was a little disappointed with the filling. I added a full tablespoon to the center of each and it still was not really noticible when you ate them. I would make them again but add way more of the filling than what is called for in the recipe. Thanks for sharing!
