Thanksgiving dinner in my family was always really extravagant, and I look forward to it every year now that I am the one who gets to cook it!

Learning my knife cuts and being able to flute a mushroom and tourne a potato!
My cooking tragedies
I once set my kitchen on fire while I was cooking taco shells. I was engaged in watching the first season of American Idol and forgot about the grease heating up on the stove for the taco shells!

Dutch Apple Pie with Oatmeal Streusel
This pie was really good in flavor, but it made my crust and topping alittle soggy. Really good though!!!

Pork Chops with Raspberry Sauce
My 3 year old son is in love with this recipe! Great for an easy but yummy dinner. I usually add some sweated shallots to this to give it some added flavor. Also great with crushed pecans or walnuts for added crunch!

Baked Tilapia
This is a great recipe if you don't have a lot of time to cook dinner, but want something light and healthy. I usually marinate the tilapia in white wine 30 minutes before just to give it some added flavor.
