I usually stick with my Grandmother's ham, green beans and potato recipe. Which is yum, by the way. But this year I was looking for something different to do with my leftover Easter ham. This recipe caught my eye because I have never had potato & ham soup before. My only changes were due to not having listed items handy. I used celery seed instead of celery. I also used leeks instead of onion just because I like the flavor better. I placed everything except the roux and milk into a slow-cooker and went shopping. When I returned several hours later, I added the roux and milk. Everyone LOVED it!!
