About this Cook
74 year old widow, have 9 children, 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. I like to bake for the holidays, takes my mind off my husband's recent death and seeing I haven't baked in many years want to get good at it again.
My favorite things to cook
Pecan rolls, had favorite recipe, book fell apart. got onto website for Fleichmann's yeast and found it again. Also used your rolled cookie recipe and Russian tea cakes. Having fun with them. Going back to trying pie crust again from your video.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Rolled cookies, and sweet rolls. Used to make great pies going to do that again. Lost a lot of weight so giving it away to friends and family.
My cooking triumphs
My pecan rolls turned out better with each batch. Giving them to all my various families. Baked first pies in years this Thanksgiving and turned out great.
My cooking tragedies
My pie crusts, determined to get back in swing of it again. Also made some lousy cookies until experimented with several recipes. After finding your website very pleased with every thing I've tried so far.

Best Brownies
I took these brownies to Xmas party and not a crumb left, they were moist and absolutely delicious, I changed nothing.

Cinnamon Raisin Swirl Bread
I have made this recipe about 4 times and love it, could someone tell me the recipe for the frosting, I used the one for the cinn. buns it looks a little heavy more like cake frosting, this is more like a glaze. please help. I'm also going to try soaking the raisins, this sounds like a good idea

Ron's Bread Machine White
I tried this recipe today and followed recipe to a T. I did use warm water. I have the most amazing loaf of bread. It is perfect and will use that one from now on.
