Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Made exactly as recipe states. I thought it was way too sweet and a very strange texture, for cornbread. I'm a big fan of Jiffy's Corn Muffin Mix in the blue box and think it has the perfect amount of sweetness and is sooo simple to make. My family said the like it, but not very convincingly...

The Best Banana Pudding

Wow!!!!! I have never received so many raves and requests for the recipe in my life. I took this to our Thanksgiving family meal and have already received requests for me to bring to Christmas. The only changes I made are: 1 vanilla pudding and 1 banana cream mix, used Pepperidge Farm Mini-Chessmen cookies instead of Nilla Wafers. Also couldn't fit all the bananas in my largest bowl, so probably used 8 or 10. Thank you for an awesome recipe.

Blueberry Cherry Pie

I love to bake deserts for my husband, who eats sweets constantly and never gains an ounce...This is his all time favorite over anything even his mother has made. (she's an awesome cook!) I don't change a thing. Love it as is.

Little Meat Loaves

New Year's Day Black-Eyed Peas

I've never liked black-eyed peas and made these for New Year's Day, and can't get enough of them!! I think I may have overcooked them a little, but still unbelievably good!!! The only changes I made was use bacon instead of ham (because it's what I had) and added some jalapeno sauce to spice it up a little.

Vikki's Red Bean Sausage

Wow!!! Great meal! My husband and I go to New Orleans several times a year and he has been telling everyone this is the best he has ever had. I used 2 cans of chunky rotel tomatoes and it was the perfect heat for us. Can't wait to make it again.
