About this Cook
I am the proud wife of one very handsome husband and have been blessed with (in my opinion) the most beautiful little daughter in the world.
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy cooking portobello mushrooms, and anything that can taste really good but not be complicated to prepare.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Uhm, cake mixes count as cake made from scratch? That's what my grandma says.
My cooking triumphs
Mushroom burgers, Jamaican jerk tofu, and I am the queen of saving a cooking lost cause. Most of my meals crash at some point in the cooking process, but I'm usually able to revive the code blues.
My cooking tragedies
Tofurkey! Never again, never again.

Spinach Chickpea Curry
This was really good. I decided to fry my tofu before I put it in. I cooked the garbanzo beans longer than instructed, and they came out nice and soft. I'll make this again.

Curried Lentils
This was really easy to make. I added steamed broccoli and cauliflower to mine. I also added some garlic and garam masala for my personal taste. It was really good with some soy sauce stirred into it. I'll make it again due to how easy it was.

Vegetarian Nori Rolls
It just wasn't for me. My husband said if I had ever tried and liked real sushi I would have liked it, he thought it was good and authentic.
