Peanut Butter Brownie Bites

The video shows 2 tsp corn syrup,NOT WHIPPING CREAM OR VANILLA in the glaze!!! This is very confusing. Havent tried this yet, not sure I want to if they cant get it right. Maybe this is why it didnt turn out for many people.

Mango Squares

I made this recipe, without the lemon extract (not avail in Mexico). I used 3 fresh(1 1/2 cups)"Manilla" mangos. Took 1 hour to bake but turned out great. Rich, buttery andl great flavor. Will make again.

Oatmeal Chocolate Coconut Chewy

I substituted 1 bar of baking white chocolate, chopped; 2 Tablespoons coconut yogurt for the milk; 1/2 cup chopped walnuts & 1/2 cup chopped pecans.I added 1 teasp cinn, 1/2 teasp nutmeg, 1/2 teasp cloves.Baked for 11 min, very good.Usually oatmeal cookies dry and bland, not these.Will make these again & forget the 'other' recipes for oatmeal cookies!

Black Magic Cake

I followed the recipe step by step. Used 2-9" round cake pans. Ten minutes into baking, they began to grow & grow & grow. Overcooked out of the pans onto the bottom of the oven, smoke & burn. Dont know what went wrong but OMG what a mess! Ok, I've made this 5 times and it "grows" out of the pan everytime! I only use Hershey's cocoa, same process each time and always ends up a mess. I get half a cake-its good-but such a waste. HELP!! Any suggestions--anybody??????????????????

Marinated Mushrooms II

I tried these again, still cant find dry mustard powder here (Mexico-ugh--anyone know a substitute I could use??). I made a kilo (2.2 lbs.)mushrooms, changed the serving size to accommodate this weight and followed the ingredient changes. Great recipe! Thank you!

Sour Cream Dressing

I used only 1/4 cup olive oil, didnt have mustard powder, used about 3-4 teaspoons red wine vinegar, about 2-3 Tablespoons sugar, the 1/4 cup sour cream, pinch pepper, pinch salt. After whisking, poured this over sliced cukes, onion, sliced blk olives,tomatoes, sweet peppers, and avocados. Tasty! Thought the 1 cup would b way too oily and it would have been too!

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Good God Gertie, are these great! Tried these for hubby for Valentine's Day and holy are they great!!!I put in 1 cup of walnuts and LIGHTLY sprayed sheets with Pam (no parchment paper available here in Mexico, cooked them 9 minutes. I also lightly formed dough into balls to keep theri form after reading other reviews and they held together nicely. Let them cool 5 minutes after taking out of oven. I would give this a 15 star if I could!

Marinated Mushrooms with Red Bell Peppers

I tried this and instead of using 1 red pepper I used 6 small sweet peppers. I also added 2 Tablsp onion and close to double the sugar as the red wine vinegar was quite bitey. My husband loved it and I'm sure I will make it many more times in the future!

Red Cabbage Salad II

I just made this--not sure how its supposed to taste. Didnt have canola oil so I used virgin oil. Cant find seasoning salt here (Mexico) so I used a tad of Tajin (which has a tiny bit of lime flavor). Guess I'll know how it is in 8 hours!!! I cut the recipe in half. We love cabbage so I'm sure it'll be great!

Best Lemonade Ever

I tried this recipe, my lemons were small but I used 8 lemons. I cut the sugar down to a little under 1 1/2 cups and it was still too sweet for my preference. I used a 2 liter pitcher; I prefer to know I'm drinking lemonade, no sugar water!
