Pie Crust Mix

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2010
Easy mix to make and handy to have around. I used vegetable shortening and did need to add a little more than 5 tbsp. of water to make it manageable, but the crust came out tasty and flaky. This definitely will become my standard crust recipe. Thanks for sharing!

Pizza Dough I

Quick, simple, tasty. I do add a little garlic powder to the dough mix for a little added flavor.

Quick Pasta Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2008
It won't knock your socks off, but is a good basic sauce recipe. I did tweak it a bit, adding sugar, oregano, and cinnamon for more flavor.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2006
The taste is wonderful, although baking the cookies at 400 degrees always burns the bottoms of my cookies. I think it might just be me oven! Also, the diections are misleading. I've found that if I roll the cookies in the cinnamon and sugar mixture and bake them, the cookies bun on the bottoms. Instead I only roll the tops of the balls of dough in the mixture. Otherwise, my favorite Snickerdoodle recipe so far!

Chocolate Cream Pie II

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2005
The chocolate filling wasn't firm enough- I'm not sure if adding more cornstarch like others suggested would help. The filling was delicious on its own as a pudding, but not the right consistency for a pie.

Used white wine instead of red wine and it turned out fantastic.

Oven Baked Jambalaya

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2005
The taste was wonderful, but I found that the rice was too mushy by the time the Jambalaya was done. Next time I make this, I will cook the rice separately and stir in at the end.

A Simply Perfect Roast Turkey

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2005
I made this last year at Thanksgiving and Christmas. And both my father-in-law and husband both said that it was the juiciest turkey they had ever had. My rosting pan was larger than the turkey so I had to add a lot more than one to two cups of stock. The recipe was easy to make and will be my holiday turkey recipe from now on.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2005
My husband's favorite food is Chicken Pot Pie, so we made this recipe together last night. It was delicious, he ate almost 2/3 of it in one sitting and finished the rest today at lunch. He claims it’s the best pot pie he's ever had. Will definitely make again, although I am going to try making individual portions to freeze for lunches and snacks.
