Sweet Green Bean Bundles

Reviewed: May 22, 2008
I don't know where I went wrong with this recipe- followed it exactly except for I pre cooked center cut bacon (which I have found to crisp up nicely in the past)before wrapping the beans. My canned beans were way to small-- will use fresh beans next time. Could barely fit 5-6 beans inside half a piece of bacon. The bacon never did crisp up and half of these were left over at a huge party I had. I will give it a whirl again though, but will make sure to precook the bacon longer, and use fresh beans instead!

Grilled Onions

Reviewed: May 22, 2008
I have tried these both on the grill for an hour and in the microwave (for 4 minutes per one review). I think they needed to cook a little more in the microwave, but an hour worked great for me on the grill. LOVED THESE!!! The flavor was delicious!!!!! I did use the chicken instead of the beef...

Pan-Fried Asparagus

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2008
I cut way back on the butter and olive oil but it still seemed to be too oily for me. My husband, who is on a health kick, had no complaints though!

Pork Tenderloin with Herb Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2008
I am not a pork fanatic, but thought I'd make this for my inlaws because I usually make chicken. I absolutely loved it and thought it was very tender. I too used the sauce to marinade the tenderloin for 2 hours prior and then cooked in oven for 1 hour at 350. Extremely simple and delicious!

Italian Sausage, Peppers, and Onions

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2007
My husband devoured 5 of these in a 20 hour time span... I substitued the beer for the wine and served on toasted buns with red sauce. I am making them again tonight at his request, and am serving them at my daughter's 5th birthday party!! Not exactly kid food, but my husband will be a very happy man!

This was fun to make with my two kids, and smelled heavenly while baking! I too poured half the sugar/butter mix over halfway through and then the rest on top. It's hard to stop eating it once you start!!!!

I cooked these on the grill, and they tasted very bland. I will try and spice them up to my liking next time, as I love red potatoes!

Jimmbo's Garlic Knots

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2007
These were good-- spicy!! I screwed up making them and combined the olive oil with the seasonings before I realized what I had done. Since I knew it wouldn't look as nice spreading it on after it cooked, I cooked it with the spread on. I look forward to trying it again the correct way!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2007
This dessert was awesome!! I substituted Oreos (about 30) for the crust, and then the ice creams of my choice. HaagenDaaz chocolate on bottom, chocolate sauce, and then Caramel de Leche on top!!!!! I served this to my inlaws and my husband had 4 pieces on one day! When placing your cookies around the side, make sure to follow directions and place BEFORE freezing the bottom layer. I misread the directions the first time and couldn't get them to stand up! Also, a good tip-- place them with a small space between each cookie so you'll be all set when you go to cut them into slices. Delicious, and I can't wait to experiment with different flavors!

Crispy Rosemary Chicken and Fries

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2006
This recipe was delcious, especially the potatoes.... I did what others had suggested and drained the oil after an hour of baking, and then cooked it for another 15 minutes. I just eyeballed the seasonings to my taste and found the potatoes did need a little more salt when they had finished. They were fabulous though-- crispy on the outside as others had said, and soft on the inside. The chicken crisped up perfectly, though may have been a tad dry after cooking for an hour fifteen. Next time,I will likely pull it out after the first hour. Overall, super!

Autumn Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2006
I was the hit of my luncheon today with this wonderful dessert!!!!!! I did use more crumbs and butter to make the crust go up about an inch. Unfortunately, I didn't use as many apples as the recipe called for because once I started putting them on top of the cream cheese layer, it looked like too many. Don't be fooled!! They will shrink as they cook!! Whoops!! none the less, this dessert rocked!!! Everyone wanted the recipe! thanks!!!!!!!!!!!1

Mrs. Sigg's Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2005
I decided to give these cookies a try, more so for my family than for myself, as I am not a huge fan of peanut butter in general. These were FABULOUS!!!!!!! I just polished off two cookies and had to write in. I did put the dough in the fridge prior to forming into balls as others had recommended, and baked them for 8 minutes as I prefer mine softer. Delicious! Thanks for a great new cookie recipe!

Coconut Ambrosia Salad

I too only used 8oz. of whipped topping. I cut back to 1 cup of coconut too, because 2 cups seemed like it would be overpowering. My guests loved this!
