Delicious Ham and Potato Soup
Just tried this recipe tonight because I was in the mood for soup and was trolling for ideas for something different then my usual varieties. The whole family really liked it. I didn't modify anything like a lot of others did, but I didn't measure anything either...that's how I cook. Reading the other reviews, I think it's sad some people rated it so poorly when a little tweak to the ingredients (Too much salt, pepper, no cheese, etc) would have adjusted it to their personal tastes and they could have liked it better, because it really is a good basic recipe that you tailor to your taste. Glad I tried it, will make variations on it again....

Caesar Salad Supreme
I don't add salt, it's already in the cheese and anchovies I Iuse whole grain Dijon instead of ground (Maille is a good brand); If you think you don't like anchovies you can skip them and its still good, but even the "haters" don't know they're in there..or use anchovy paste so you don't see the pieces; I mix everything together and add mayo last so it's all blended...use up to a full cup of mayo; Remember the garlic gets stronger the next day if you make it ahead....... After you make this, restaurant Ceasars will taste inferior to your own homemade!

Chef John's Mini Christmas Hams
Very tasty! Just had them for dinner, and they're so cute too......although it was good, I'm not too fond of mustard glaze, so I think I'll make something sweet next time to offset the salt in the ham...it wasn't overly salty, but I think it needs something sweet to perk it up. One of the best things about them though is having no fat running through them, they're just nice and tender and meaty. I think these are going on my Valentines Day menu, with a raspberry brown sugar glaze, and I'll cut them into heart shapes and serve two per person...the scraps will be great for pea soup. Try this recipe, it's really quite good.
