Spinach and Carrot Quiche

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2010
First attempt at quiche....so rating this one is hard because I have nothing to compare it to. Anyway.....family ate it up so this is a 4 star! Only thing is, is that the crust didn't get done as another reviewer said. I will bake it for a little bit before putting the filling in next time.

Cuban Ropa Vieja

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2009
Excellent recipe. Use it as the filling for tacos soft shell and hard shell. I make it all the time when we are tired of taco meat and want something special! I leave out the tomato sauce and add juice of a lime, capers, tbls of chimichanga sauce and a sazon seasoning pkt! yum

Great recipe! Usually make this for Thanksgiving and Christmas breakfast beacuse it can be made the night before and popped in the oven that morning.

Make Ahead Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2009
Wish I could give this a better review. Tried it beacuse of the spinach. Turned out ok but tasted like the soup instead of egg. Will be sticking with Zippy Egg Casserole from this website and adding spinach to it.

Yumkins

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2009
I don't enjoy giving a negative review but these muffins didn't go over well. They were dry, small and not loved by the fam. My husband who will eat just about anything didn't touch these. Chalk this one up to experience.

Anna's Amazing Easy Pleasy Meatballs over Buttered Noodles

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2009
This was one of the easiest recipes I have ever made! Must admit I was sceptical with just sour cream and 2 cans of soup for the gravy part of the recipe.....but to my delight.....my fam loved it! Thank you, Queengoddessnance, for a great recipe.

Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2007
I followed this recipe exactly for Thanksgiving and the turkey came out ok. Despite all the rave reviews I thought it was alot of work for the end result. It was not better than our locally raised turkeys from Plainville farms that we get fresh every year. I guess we're just spoiled! They use no hormones or antibiotics. They're delicious the way they are. No brining needed!

Tzatziki Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2007
I used real greek yogurt instead of regular and it makes a world of difference! If you can find this in your grocery store it's worth the extra cost and effort. Excellent recipe otherwise. Everyone loved it with the Souvlaki recipe from this site. It's a keeper! Thank you.

Chicken Tortilla Soup I

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2007
This was really flavorful soup! I used ancho chile powder and the juice of one lime as other reviewers suggested and left out the hominy because I couldn't find it in the store. I also used chicken thighs and was pleased that the end result was really good! Thank you, it's a keeper!

Buckeye Balls I

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2006
I halved this recipe because I didn't want 144 buckeye balls. Possibly this is why this recipe almost turned out to be a complete waste of ingredients? The peanut butter would not form into balls even after freezing the mixture. So to salvage my mess, I did an ingredient search on this site and found a recipe that included 2 cups graham cracker crumbs. The crumbs thickened up the peanut butter and we were able to roll them into balls! They were a hit with my husband and kids. When I mentioned that I would not be making them again next year, my husband emphatically insisted I do! (Also on a funny note, my 4 year old nephew loved these and kept asking for more "eyeballs")!

Souvlaki

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2006
Really great recipe! Whole family loved this pork! I served this with tzatziki sauce from this site and put it in pitas with tomatos and cucumbers. The only change I made was to grill the meat on skewers without the peppers and onions.

Every year my kids and husband request baked pumpkin seeds from the Halloween pumpkins they carved. So while they're carving, the seeds are baking! This is the recipe I have used the last two years and it is the best!
