Aussie Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2007
DH rates this dish 5 stars but I didn't care for it much (my rate 3, his 5, so I rated it an overall 4). The honey was overpowering and my 4yo took one bite and refused to eat it because of the mustard.

Artichoke Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2007
DH loved this dish but I think with a few modifications to your specific taste it could be superb. I used a variety of cheeses since I was trying to use it up and also halved mayo and sour cream. I didn't have garlic pepper so I added in minced garlic. Oh, and I mixed in some capers as well. I can't wait to try this with mushrooms!

Cream Puffs

Reviewed: May 22, 2007
Made a double batch of the dough (40 puffs) and 1 batch of filling. I was surprised at how easy this was. Everyone raved about this and was even asked if I'm taking Culinary classes at school. Used a cookie scoop to make them all the same size. The only thing I had a problem with was the baking time, but I'll try it with another oven and see how it goes. I'm looking forward to trying these out with other pudding flavors. *EDIT* Made this again for 4th of July for another crowd. Did a batch of chocolate and a batch of vanilla. The chocolate was devoured! I made it in a different oven and the cooking time was perfect at 22 - 23 minutes. I don't seem to have any problems with deflation or having the puffs turn out flat. The filling is great but I'm trying to hunt down something that doesn't taste like pudding. This is now one of my 4yo's favorite recipe to make.

Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip II

Reviewed: May 22, 2007
Took it to a BBQ with some friends and it was a hit! Added 2 cloves crushed garlic; used kosher salt instead of garlic salt; and an already mixed shredded cheese bag that had all of the cheese in it. How simple and delicious. I've already had requests to make it again.

Chicken Breasts in Caper Cream Sauce

Reviewed: May 22, 2007
It was the first time for my family trying capers and we love it! This was a very quick and easy dish. I dipped the chicken in flour mixed with dill weed and lemon pepper; omitted the salt and garlic powder; added fresh garlic; used olive oil instead of butter. Everything cooked up nice and quick.

Chicken with Mushrooms, Prosciutto, and Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2007
I gave this a 3 or 4 while DH says it's a 5. First time I cooked it, I threw everything in a crock pot and used Turkey Bacon instead. Second time was to the letter. DH prefers it cooked in the crock pot.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2007
I took the suggestions from other members: cook chicken in slow cooker and shred later, used can tomatoes seasoned with chiles, added extra garlic, used tortilla chips, and served with cheese and sour cream. A bit too spicy for some family members but DH and I love it.

Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2006
I made this for my husband's family after Thanksgiving and got RAVE reviews on it. I added in bacon, used regular feta, and it made 2 quiches. This was gone within minutes and it even got the kids to eat spinach. I've already had requests to make it again. Thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe.

Sweet Potato Rolls

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2006
Everyone said it was a success. I used much more flour than called for like everyone else. I made small rolls for my son and it made about 3 dozen. My 3yo absolutely loves these rolls and nearly ate half of them over the weekend. They have the slightest hint of sweet potato, I wish there was more but it still is wonderful. Will definitely be making again and again. Thaks for sharing this great recipe!

Restaurant Style Chicken Nachos

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2006
We've had this twice in a week. Very easy to make. I left out the chicken/salsa mixture and poured it on top of the melted chesse since the chips got soggy the first time. Added refried beans, sour cream, guacamole, and chopped olives.. a warm 7 layer dip. :) Love it and will be a regular in our house. Thanks for the great recipe!

I love this recipe since the ingredients are always stocked here. This was a hit with everyone and a great way to use up the milk. I've made this in both pie and muffin pans and prefer the latter.

I seem to be the only one in my family that doesn't care for this. Way too rich for my liking but it was devoured by everyone else.

Chicken Pot Pie I

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2006
I'm always looking for ways to get my little one to eat vegetables and this recipe is just the thing. So simple but good. DH prefers this to other pot pie recipes. Added mushrooms as my family can't get enough of it and used premade pie crusts. Just pop it in the oven and your done.

Sloppy Joes II

DH rates this a 5 since I've never had a Sloppy Joe before. Only thing I did different was leave out the Bell Pepper for my son. Will be making again, thanks for the great recipe.

Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2006
A great basic recipe. Although a bit bland as is, try adding some ingredients to your taste. The chicken comes out tender and moist and I love the chunks of cracker. This would be so much better with a sauce.
