About this Cook
We are a couple from Ann Arbor, Michigan. My boyfriend, Jon, loves to cook and does it for a living while I love to cook and bake at home. We always like to try new things. We have a very... "experimental" kitchen!
My favorite things to cook
We love making homemade pizza, lasagna, chicken parmasan, hot hot wings, angel food cake, and cookies. There is always a snack waiting to be eaten on our kitchen counter.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Jon's family consists of more of the eat-at-Mickey D's-everyday kind of people, so we get more 'authentic' recipes from my side. My grandma came from Germany, and my grandfather from Ukraine. I inheritted a lot of recipes and love for cooking from that side, because we always made perogi and stuffed cabbage, as well as schnizel and sauerkraut. One day I hope to travel to Germany and eat the real things in the real place!

Wisconsin Cheese Soup II
Sooo good. We have made a lot of different variations of broccoli cheese soup, but this is by far the best. We had a party on Halloween and one of the last guests to leave was drinking pretty heavily. We gave this to him to help sober up. A few weeks ago he told us it was the best soup he ever had (nearly 6 months later)!

These were so sticky and it took a lot to get this dough to work for me. Maybe just my luck.
