I must admit that when I found this recipe I was skeptical because of the vinegar. You see, I didn't follow the directions. I mixed all my dry and then added the milk, egg and butter leaving the vinegar for last. I seemed to remember back in school that when vinegar and baking soda are mixed, bubbles form. It sure does when you add the vinegar just before pouring them out. The batter nearly DOUBLES. They come out with the best fluffy texture. So, my 'mistake' for not reading the directions turned out to be some awesome pancakes that my family and friends rave about. Some of the best things come from 'mistakes.'
